Committee Meeting Minutes
February 7, 2006
Attendance: Jessica Rose, Shelley De Pry, Robert Turner, Brad Burns, Stacy Camenson, Holly Herrick, David Dahler, Cindy Geers, Ron Anderson, Rebecca Amato and Jane Mannion
Meeting called to order 7:07 pm.
Minutes approved by Dave Dahler and Rebecca Amato.
Committee News:
Blue and Gold Advancement for upcoming scouts is March 5, 4 pm at UCLA Conference Center. Cost is $15 per adult, $7.50 per child. Troop will pay for scouts assisting with ceremony. Reservations are necessary. Contact Alex Amato for more information. Rebecca Amato will purchase scout neckerchiefs and slides for the scouts bridging to this troop.
A $500 contribution to BSA can send a boy scout (including yours) to camp, help the council with the remaining money and is tax deductible. Cindy Geers has the details.
Summer Camp leaders attending are Ron Anderson, Joe Black, Marv Shaw, Beverly Wolfe and possibly Dr. Herrick. Three leaders are free and additional cost will be shared among the leaders. Website for camp is sdic.bsa.org. Camp is Fiesta Island. .
Amatos will update website including the calendar.
Annual dues of $45 are due for all scouts. Pay Stacy Camenson.
Jessica Rose is participating in the Leukemia/Lymphoma Marathon. She is accepting donations if anyone can contribute.
Calendar/Activities
February 11, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, Pinewood Derby at the Baptist Church Log Chapel. Dave Dahler in charge.
February 21 - Summer Camp payment of $75 is due. Pay Stacy Camenson.
February 25 - 10 Mile Hike down front of the mountain - Daly Canyon to San Bernardino - Daly Canyon. If too much snow, the alternate hike will be toward spillway to Hot Springs - approx 13 miles. Bring lunch and drinks. Meet at Baptist Church, 7:00 am Bob Turner in charge.
March - Eagle Project for Matt Maynard has been rescheduled for March at Fire Station #3 in Redlands. Anyone needing community service hours should call Matt.
March 7 - Board of Review. Ron Anderson and Shelly De Pry have volunteered to assist in reviewing. Need more adults to help.
March 12 - Court of Honor. Baptist Church Log Chapel. Need volunteers to arrange.
March 21 - Summer camp payment due $75. Pay Stacy Camenson.
March 24 to 26 - Joshua Tree Campout - Brad Burns is checking availability.
April 18 - Summer camp payment due $65. Pay Stacy Camenson.
April 22 - Calico Campout, one night. Dave Dahler in charge. Okay to bring bikes.
May 7 - Spaghetti Dinner at Baptist Church Gym
May 27 - Memorial Weekend Yard Sale, new patrol to assist with organization.
July 9-15 - Summer Camp Fiesta Island. Website sdic.bsa.org. Cost $290. Pay Stacy Camenson.
