Meeting notes:

Sunday Scheduling -  William Reese expressed concern with planning activities on Sunday which he feels is the day for worship. Melissa Balog is attempting to arrange the paintball activity on Saturday if possible, but has not been possible in the past.

Popcorn Sales - Several of the parents stated that they would prefer to donate cash to the troop rather than have their boys sell popcorn.  They don't want the kids going door-to-door, some have no one to sell to.  Tim Balog stated that the sale of popcorn not only helps the troop but the council as well.  Also, the point is for the boys to earn the money themselves to help the organizations. The troop is trying to purchase an equipment trailer with its share of the proceeds.  Tim Balog asks that each boy sell at least one item for the scouts.  Turn in money Oct. 19 at the meeting or at the very latest Oct. 25 at Balogs' home.

Possible change of meeting nights - a fourth Tuesday meeting night may be added if it is possible to utilize the present facility.  The change will be:

lst Tues - Committee Meeting
2nd Tues - Boys Meeting
3rd Tues - Boys Meeting - Merit Badge or Advancement work
4th Tues - Boys Meeting

As it stands though, Oct. 5 is regular Boys Meeting unless otherwise notified.
Marv Shaw has generously offered to teach the merit badge:  Citizenship in the Nation beginning in October on Merit Badge Meeting Night.
