Directions: From I-10, exit 34, take Highway 49 south for exactly 4 miles
to PASS Road. Turn right (west). Main gate is only a few blocks. Inside
gate stay left when road splits and will see Swimming Pool first and then
Campground on your left.

Notes: This new campground is very new and very under utilized. Its a gem
waiting.
Hosts are on site, Marge and Smitty Smith, SMART members.
Email connection outside Host's site.
Swimming pool and 9 hole golf course on base and just short distance over
to Keesler AFB where they have an 18 hole course and complete facilities.
Beaches and Casinos are very short distance away.

Input from members: Just spent a week following the Smart Muster here. There is a good turnover
so time spent in overflow is short. Overflow by the way is on the roadway
along side the picnic grounds and swimming pools. A few steps from the
office.
There is plenty to see and do in the area especially with the Casinos along
the beach. The Hosts have plenty of discount coupons for the great buffets
the Casinos offer Picnic tables were brought in and are now being placed on
site by the host. Provision for phone connections are in place but need to
be completed.

Notes: Just camped at Keesler for 3 days. Monthly sites are rarely
available requiring special need. Stay limit of 14 days if campers are
waiting. Usual wait for a site is less than 2 days.
Be sure to go to the Palace Casino and join the "Top Gun Club". It's free
and they give each of you a free T-shirt, tickets to their floor show, and
tickets to a buffet lunch and buffet dinner. (March 26, 1998)

Input from members:Stopped at this campsite last December. This is a National Guard
Training Base with some active duty troops. Reasonable sized exchange.
Nice campsite - concrete pads with full utilities. Cost was $9 or 10 a
night. Free washer and dryer. Monthly rates. No limit on camping time.
