You have quite an interesting page although it will take me longer than just today to read it all. Matthew's account of Melbourne was very cute - when I was 14 we went to Ballarat also but I remember actually finding little gold flecks and then they give you a container to put it in. And I think that you had to buy a gold licence as well although maybe they do not do that anymore as we were there in 1988. |

I used to work at the duty-free shop there during summer vacations from college, and I agree, the mobile lounge system is not the best. Also, the fact that the duty-free shops are in the open concourse always caused problems for us; people would come in and try to buy something and I'd find out they were going to New York so I couldn't sell to them. Also, a lot of people had a problem with the fact that we could not give them their things until they boarded the plane. Well, too bad. People did get their stuff 99 percent of the time, so the system worked. Have a good day, Kathryn :-) P.S.: Sorry, forgot to mention I've been to Canada, the Bahamas, Grand Cayman, England, Scotland, Finland and Sweden.
