Printable Crossword Puzzles from the Net
All of these sites have a crossword puzzle that can be printed out on your printer.  Some have archives aavailable and some can be played online.  All are free.  None of the following sites require a separate program (such as Across Lite).
After the puzzle shows on your screen, click on File - Print (from the menus at the top)
Hint:  for the daily puzzles, print "page 1" only (save paper)


Anchorage Daily News (Daily puzzle)
Click on "Puzzle" for a pdf version to print

The Daily Cardinal  (everyday)
Printing directions are on the bottom of the page

Best.com  (7 daily crosswords!)
Pick a puzzle #
Click Load Puzzle and pirnt it

Washington Post   (daily crossword)
Click on "Printable Puzzle"
I then go to Print Preview and increase the size to 125% before printing

Mirror Eyes  (daily crossword)
Click on "Today's Crossword"
I then go to Print Preview and use a size of 90% to make sure it all fits

Washington Post  (Sunday puzzle)
Click on "Printable Puzzle"
It takes two pages to print

New York Times   (monthly)
This is a special student puzzle
Click on "an image of the puzzle"

Hemispheres Magazine (monthly ?)
Click on Print Versoin
It is a pdf file
Download/print with Adobe Reader

Toronto Star   (everyday)
Just print it out!

Excite!   (daily crossword)
Click on Online Games - "Crosswords"
At the next screen, click on "Puzzle to Go"

Lawrence Journal World   (daily crossword)
Go to bottom of page, click on Features - "Crossword Puzzle"
At the next screen, slide down the page and click on "Printable Puzzle"
(same puzzle as Excite! right now)

Dell Crossword (daily crossword - Adobe Acrobat format)
Click on "today's puzzle"
Now save it to your hard drive - default name is:  today.pdf
Double click on the file name in My Computer or Explorer
Print the puzzle  (discontinued)

Inquirer Magazine (Sunday puzzle)
Click on "Crossword"
Problem:  the clues don't all fit on one page :(

Christian Science Monitor   (weekly)
Puzzle changes on Thursdays
This requires printing two pages
