I'm a journalist. I was born and have lived
mostly of my life in SÃO PAULO, the capitol of São Paulo State. With more than 12 millions of
inhabitants -- the biggest city of South America and the fourth
in the world -- Sampa, as we call our town, is the "economic
heart" of the country. A huge Selva de Pedra (concrete jungle),
dynamic, advanced, active, restless... the best place to work,
not so easy to live.
And I love my wonderful family -- that I want you to know:

In december 29th of 2000, I moved to RIO DE JANEIRO -- a big (about 6 millions of inhabitants) but wonderful city, where I am living near the beach in Leme, a very pleasant district. So, Seawoman is now in her habitat :-)
I'm graduated by the University of São Paulo, and have passion for my job!
It's stimulant to face the challenge of writing about all kind
of subject and issues, to know all kind of people and places,
to be always learning. It's gratifying to induce people
to think... After many years working as reporter and editor
in big newspapers and magazines, I decided to be a free-lancer.
Difficult? Sometimes. But now I have the freedom to command my
life and my time -- and it's great!!!
Why Seawoman? Well, I love the sea!! (by the way, my real name
is Marina...in portuguese, mar=sea). What could be more pleasant
than toasting life with a good company, in a small and beautiful
beach of white sand and tranquil blue waters?...:))
I love to travel, to know different places and people; to snorkel
and to dive... and to taste the "adrenalina" of thrilling
experiences, like flying in hang-gliding, making skydive or, even, driving my motorcycle through the crazy traffic of Sampa:))

books, good films. Love to be with my friends !!
PATRÍCIA, my oldest daughter, is married to Alberto (we call him
Beto). They made me a "grandma" :)),with two lovely kids: Marcela
and Bruno. Patrícia is graduated in Visual Comunication and Beto
, a Civil Engeneer.
ADRIANA, number two, lives in Rio de Janeiro since she got marriage to Arnaldo (Júnior). She is
graduated in Phisical Education, but actually changed her career
and became an insurance agent; he works in commerce of automobiles.
EDUARDO, the third, is Art Director in an important advertising agency. He is a great bluesman :)) (plays eletric and acoustic guitars, dobro, banjo, etc)
ROGÉRIO, the youngest, is a Civil Engeneer, post-graduated in Marketing. But he made a big change in his life: is finishing a Theater course, and became an actor!:-) Rogério moved to Rio in the end of 1997, and is also a good musician. He plays piano and keyboards, is a composer and makes midi-arrangements.
Now that all the "kids" have strong wings and took their own flight, Seawoman lives alone again, "shared" between the two cities -- Rio and Sampa...:)
