This web page contains photographs and travelogue, but it is not a guidebook and should not be viewed as such. For one thing, places change, and some of my travels (such as mainland China) occurred several years ago. Also, it is always possible that my memory is not 100-percent accurate in some matters, though with any luck I have most of the details correct. In any event, please read and enjoy my narratives, and then check things out for yourself if you are likely to go to any of the places I describe.
In addition to my own photos and writings, I have also included a few intriguing images that I have collected from around the Net. In some cases, the pictures in question are already wholly in the public domain; that is, they are "all over the Net" and it is not even clear where they originated. In other cases (where it was possible to do so), I have credited and linked to the pages where I acquired images. I doubt that anything on these pages will cause anyone any angst, but if I am wrong, let me know and we can discuss the situation.
One other matter -- everything on these pages is just my opinion. I hope I have been fair, but we all have our idiosyncracies, so I ask for your indulgence.
