Unlike most other Disney resorts, Disney's All-Star Music Resort is themed after an idea instead of a location. Music comes alive here, everywhere from the pools to the bedspreads! The resort's 1,920 rooms are located in ten 3-storey buildings all connected by well-landscaped walkways. Each pair of buildings and even their immediate surroundings are perfectly-themed to one of five types of music: Broadway, Calypso, Rock, Country, and Jazz. The buildings are adorned with enormous icons from the music industry, including giant top hats and canes in the Broadway section, a humongous jukebox in the Rock section, and even a 270 size pair of cowboy boots in the Country section. Each room contains two double beds, a vanity, a table and chairs, and more. Swimming is the main recreation at this resort, which has two pools: the piano pool, shaped like a grand piano, and the guitar pool, shaped just like it's name. In the centre of the guitar pool, is a delightful fountain featuring The Three Caballeros - Donald Duck, José Carioca, and Panchito. Guests check in at Melody Hall, which also houses an arcade, gift shop, and the Intermission Food Court, which serves pizza, chicken, burgers, pasta, baked goods, etc. The large gift shop, Maestro Mickey's, sells a wide variety of Disney merchandise, along with sundries, books, and groceries. This value resort with it's delightful pools, surroundings, and architecture, is a great choice for families.
