Fantasyland is one of the only places at the Magic kingdom where technology is not important. All the attractions are very simple, yet they are still able to tell a wonderful story, since all the rides here are themed to a Disney animated movie (with the exception of It's a Small World). So you can go to Neverland with Peter Pan and even to a Mad Tea Party. The entrance to Fantasyland is marked by Cinderella Castle. The castle which is over 180 feet tall, is a mixture of a medieval castle and a palace of the renaissance period. Inside the castle are glass mosaic panels which tell the story of Cinderella. The individual attractions in Fantasyland include The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, a delightful ride that takes guests through the hundred acre woods; Mad Tea Party, a dizzying ride where guests sit in twirling teacups; Peter Pan's Flight, takes guests on a trip to Neverland and back; Dumbo the Flying Elaphant, takes guests up into the sky; It's a Small world, a boat ride around the world in only 11 minutes; Snow White's Adventures, carries guests through Walt Disney's first animated feature; Cinderella's Golden Carrousel, one of the largest carrousels ever built; and Legend of the Lion King, a live show featuring puppets. The restaurants in Fantasyland include Cinderella's Royal Table, Pinocchio Village Haus, Lumière's Kitchen, The Little Big Top, Enchanted Grove, Mrs. Pott's Cupboard, and Hook's Tavern, and Scuttle's Landing. They serve everything from roast-beef sandwiches to ice cream. The shops are comprised of Kodak Kiosk, Tinker Bell's Treasures, The King's Gallery, Sir Mickey's, and The Seven Dwarfs Minig Co. They sell merchandise themed to Disney animated movies and characters.

Cinderella's Golden Carrousel
Measuring 60 feet in diameter, this is one of the largest carrousels in the world. Each of the 90 horses were hand-painted and no two are exactly alike. The beautiful canopy was made to look like a medieval tournament tent. Right above the horses, along the inner edge of the canopy, are 18 hand-painted scenes from the Disney classic, "Cinderella". In the middle of the carrousel is a steam-powered calliope that plays Disney tunes while guests go around and around.
Interesting and little known facts
-the carrousel wasn't originally made for anything Disney, but was discovered at a now-defunct amusement park in New Jersey and totally refurbished!
-to keep the carrousel clean and shiny , cast members spend hours every night polishing the horses and brass railings!
Mad Tea Party
This ride is based on the unbirthday party in the animated movie, "Alice in Wonderland". Guests board teacups that spin out of control around a giant teapot that is home to the drowsy doormouse. The reason the teacups spin so dizzily is that one large turnatble spins all the teacups in one direction, while three smaller turntables spin three sets in the other direction.
Dumbo the Flying Elephant
In this ride guests board replicas of the elephant with giant ears and soar high and low around Fantasyland. In fact guests get to control whether the little elephant goes up or down using a button inside the car. In the center of all the flying elephants are pictures of the stork that delivered Dumbo, and watching over it all is Timothy J. Mouse.
Snow White's Adventures
Snow White's Adventures tells the story of Disney's first full-length animated film. Guests ride in mine carts through many memorable scenes from the movie such as the wicked witch with her magic mirror, Snow White's flee through the forest, the dwarf's diamond mine, and the climactic fight between the dwarfs and the wicked witch. Parents of small children beware that many of the scenes in this ride may be frightening for youngsters.
