The Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin

The Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin are sister resorts operated by Weston and ITT Sheraton; but they are treated as Walt Disney World resorts, and guests enjoy most Disney resort benefits. Their striking architecture alse sets these two resorts apart from other Disney establishments, since they do not have an actual theme, and have more in common with posh off-site hotels. There is nothing common in their design though: gigantically-stunning and slightly imposing, but at the same time fun. The Swan is comprised of a main section of 12 floors and two wings of 7 floors. The hotel is painted with giant patterns of turqoise waves and topped with enourmous swan statues. The even more distinctive Dolphin resort is comprised of a stunning 27-story triangular tower surrounded by four 9-story wings. The exterior is painted with an interesting banana leaf pattern and topped with gigantic fish statues. The interiors of the two resorts are beautifully-decorated and painted in turquoise and coral. Carrying on the animal themes of the resorts, the interiors are decorated with dolphins, swans, parrots, toucans, and other creatures, creating an elegant, but casual atmosphere, especially in the Dolphin resort which features a delightful tenting effect in it's large interior spaces, making them resemble a cabana. The rooms include one king-size, two queeen-size or two double beds, plus a safe, minibar, iron and ironing board, coffee maker; and even more anemities can be found in the suites. The two resorts share recreational facilities which include several swimming pools, a fully-equipped health club, pedal boats and hyrdo bikes, volleyball, two arcades, four tennis courts, and a playground. The resorts offer a multitude of restaurants and snack spots including Coral Cafe, Cabana Bar & Grill, Tubbi's, Garden Grove Cafe, Splash Grill, Dolphin Fountain, Palio, Juan & Only's, Kimonos, Copa Banana, and Harry's Safari Bar & Grille. They serve steak, seafood, poultry, burgers, pasta, pizza, mexican fare, ice cream, drinks, and snacks. Shops at the Swan & Dolphin resorts include Disney Cabanas, Brittany Jewels, Indulgences, Statements of Fashion, and Daisy's Garden. They sell clothing, jewelry, chocolate, Disney character merchandise, sundries, etc.
