Enchantment Tours is a New Mexico family owned and operated business. We specialize in "one day" tours for individuals and small groups (3 people max). We also offer "Step-on Guide" services, for large groups, who have chartered their own buses.

We visit the lesser known historic sites in New Mexico. We want you to "feel" the spirit of the land. This isn't possible in a crowd. That is why Metropolitan areas are not on our tours list. Finally, due to the prohibitive cost of insurance to cover child risk, we cannot take children.

Our "one day" tours are designed to accommodate visitors who have little time available for sightseeing outside Albuquerque proper; for those whose personal health restricts their activities, and for those who just desire a short and rewarding outing.

On the day of your tour, your guide will pick you up at your home or hotel. Dress for your outing will depend on what area you have selected and the time of year you visit. A picnic style lunch is provided. Any physical limitations and/or diet restrictions should be discussed at the time your tour is scheduled.

It is our desire to make your visit to our state a most rewarding and memorable experience.

***FOR LARGE GROUPS***
We offer "Step-on" Guide Services!

Some Places We Visit
El Malpais Nat'l Monument

Located 50 miles southwest of Albuquerque, this new addition to the National Park system holds many beautiful vistas and historic sites.
La Ventana natural bridge is a sandstone arch which rises 600 feet above the canyon floor, in a beautiful ponderosa pine forest.
New Mexico Mystery Rock

28 miles southwest of Albuquerque on Hidden mountain. The Phoenician inscription on this sheet of basalt predates the arrival of the vikings to the new world by at least 200 years. You will need to hike 1/4 mile of moderately steep trail. This outing requires good health and walking shoes.
Nat'l Radio Astronomy
Observatory

Also known as NRAO, is home to the "Very large Array" (VLA) radio telescope. Located on the Plains of San Augustine, 100 miles southwest of Albuquerque, the vistas & visitors center are a must! Lunch takes place at the last cattle drive trail in the state. Time permitting, the ghost town of Kelly is visited.

Jemez Mtn. Circle Tour

Is considered by this company to be the best overall trip for those who want to see the most sites in the least amount of time. This tour covers 200+ miles and never stops giving exciting and breathtaking views. You will see Indian Pueblos, natural formations, forests, deserts, historic ruins & the atomic city of Los Alamos.

El Morro Nat'l Monument

Also known as "Inscription Rock" is located halfway between Acoma & Zuni Pueblos. It was the site of the only water supply at the time of Coronado's search for the fabled "Seven Cities of Gold". You will see inscriptions left by explorers, wanderers, and pioneers dating from the early 1500's to the early 1920's.
