Not by might, nor by  power, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.   -verse 6 ch 4
Travel, at the time of Jesus was a slow process. Luke 2:1-20 tells us about the birth of Jesus. The Roman empire wished to take a census which required people to return to their own towns to register. Now since Joseph was a decendant of King David, he had to travel to Bethlehem in Judea. If you look at the map you can see that this is not a great distance by todays standards. Joseph traveled there from the village of Nazareth in Galilee. He took with him Mary, his fiancee who was obviously pregnant at the time. See Luke 1 verse 26-38. Mary gave birth to a son (Jesus) Jesus was fully God and he did not lose His power as God even though He came to earth as a man. He demonstrated this power in miraculous ways. Mark 4 verse 35-41 Jesus calms the storm. Mark 6 verse 45-51, Jesus walks on water. There are many examples in the Bible so why not pull up a chair and travel through the pages of time. Luke 23 tells of Jesus trial before Pilate followed by the crucifixion on the cross where Jesus took on the sins of the world and died for us.
Jesus died but (Luke 24 ) rose again and verse 7 says" The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again." As we travel the road of life we come to a fork. At the divide there is a decision to be made. Jesus spoke about this road and this decision in Matthew 7 verse 13-14 when He talked about the narrow gate to God's Kingdom and the wide gate to hell for those who choose the easy way. Jesus did not leave people guessing as to which road to travel. He gave them directions for getting there. John 14:6-14 Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the father except through me. In John 12:44-50 Jesus talks about eternal life. When we make a sincere commitment to follow Jesus, He transforms our life and our future- forever! He promises us an eternal home (John 14:1-4)  Jesus is coming again. The Bible says, "There shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts and saying, where is the promise of His coming?
The word of God speaks of the certainties of the end of the world. We know that the end of the world is a possibility scientifically. Jesus said, "As in the days of Noah, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." What were the days of Noah like, and how do we today compare to that time ?  Well, one word used to describe the days of Noah was "wickedness".  The people of that day were very wicked. In fact, every imagination they had was evil. It was a world in which marriage was made a mockery, violence prevailed, murder, wars and insurrection were common. The people did'nt have time for God, they were taken up and preoccupied with other things. That world was threatened by judgment of God.  One man stood against the sin, violence and corruption, his name was Noah. God spoke to Noah and told him, I am going to give the world 7 more days, then came the flood. Today the only bright spot on the horizon is the promise of Christ, the Messiah coming again. We can not go on much longer morally or scientifically. How do you travel life's highway?
We have God's promise that "all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28) The good news is that the Christians eternal future is secure! The person who trusts in Jesus Christ can know that he or she will spend eternity in God's presence after passing from this world to the next. Travel and beyond!  The Bible tells us that in heaven God will wipe away every tear from our eyes. (Revelation 21:4) Is your future secure? Where will you travel? If you were to die today, do you know where you will spend eternity? You can say yes Jesus and make a new start to travel life's road as a follower and friend of Jesus now by saying this prayer.    "Thank you for sending your son, Jesus to die on the cross for my sins. I right now choose to travel the road that leads to forgiveness and eternal life through Him Please forgive me my sins and come into my life and take charge - be my Lord and helper as I travel this life with you.  Thank you for hearing my prayer and giving me eternal life.  amen"
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem  Psalm 122:6
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:  But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:  And being found in fashion as a man he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.  Wherefore, God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth:  and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.    Phillippians 2:5-11        Y'shua  - JESUS is LORD!
