( Corfu Calling )

 

 

Although I live in Pembrokeshire, West Wales, my spiritual home is
in Kassiopi on the beautiful Greek island of Corfu / Kerkyra.
I have holidayed there for 21 wonderful years now, and even managed
to spend three seasons working there - and yes, I do mean working,
not simply having an extended vacation!

During this time I have made some really
special friends amongst the marvellously hospitable Kassiopi people.


My favourite places there include the Kassiopi Star Taverna down on the harbour, (watch out girls, the waiters are irresistable and the food fabulous!),

Visions Bar just off the village square (the VERY BEST music, cocktails and TV sport coverage in Kassiopi. But look out for Kostas and Alex - the girls think they're more mouth waterring than the drinks),

Angelo's Bar - have a look for yourself ,

 

and Andreas Boat

(first launched in July 2002 with every comfort and modern safety feature)

It was for Andreas Cruises that I worked the three seasons,
and loved every single minute of it, both on the harbour and aboard the best
and safest boats in Corfu.

Kassiopi harbour (pictured below).

And if you want to experience some traditional Greek dancing then why not call in at Kostas Bar (on the way down to the harbour) any night about 10.

Any excursion or travel needs you may have will be brilliantly met by Mike and Vera at Cosmic Travel Office - if they don't know it then it's not worth knowing.

Based at the beautiful little coastal village of Agni, it's well worth a look.

I could go on all day about Kassiopi, It's such a great place. But, just in case you're not interested, I'd better tell you something else about myself.

My other main passion is a life long support for Arsenal Football Club  
(I know, poor, sad me, but we are top of the Premiership right now!)

I enjoy gardening (up to a point), love playing around with my PC, travelling anywhere (especially to Kassiopi), and music.

 

My dislikes.......in no particular order:

1. Although I adore Europe, it's people and many places in it,
I am not keen on the way the UK is going with regard to the European Community.
We are all too diverse in character, thank God, to be governed as 'one people'.
Free trade? Yes. Federal European government? No way!

2. 'Political Correctness' - I have no time for it.
Simple politeness and decency are more than enough.

3. Rhubarb - I detest it, but don't ask me why (maybe because of all those school dinners of long ago?).
