East Quartzite Range


Quartzite Range vista.
The Quartzite Ranges are two rows of nunataks, projecting from the polar plateau ice.

Here is the West Quartzite Range, viewed northwest from Mt. Hayton.
Mt. Hayton lies in the East Quartzite Range.

Prominent at left is Gothic Peak.

To the right is cloud-wreathed Cornerstone, a day's march away.

Mt. Hayton.tops Camp Ridge. Quartzite peaks have snowy north, rocky south faces. The sun blazes on a frozen land.
