I am undertaking a One-Name Study on the POWLING family name and am registered with Guild of One-Name Studies in London.
The first link is to my own branch of the Powling family tree. It has been created by me, Bob Powling over the past 25 years.
The second link is to all the individuals in my database that are in some way connected to the Powling name. In total I have records of over 1,600 Powling individuals and currently have several contacts in Australia, Canada & USA as well as many in UK.
The Powling family name seems to originate in East Anglia, England, with the majority of early sightings being in the county of Suffolk. The spread of the name soon started and there are many early emigrations to America and Canada as well as two 'enforced' moves to Australia!
