Who is Yeshua?
"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His name Yeshua (Yahveh is Salvation): for He shall save His people from their sins." (Matthew 1:21)
"Yeshua" is the Hebrew name for the English transliteration of the Greek word "Iesous," which was used by the early brothers in the N.T., due to a difficulty for Greeks to pronounce a Hebrew name with a "sh" sound in the Greek tongue. (They just had no such sound in their language!).
It is often overlooked that our Saviour was born as a Jew, and was therefore given a Jewish name, which in Hebrew (the language of the Jews), has a very special meaning: "Yeshua," and is explained as: "Yah is Salvation." ("Yah" is the shortform for "Yahveh," as in "Hallelu-yah," and means in English "Praise Yahveh").
Thus the Saviours name was called Yeshua (Yah is Salvation), "For He shall save His people from their sins." (Matthew 1:21)
Note: Because of this very special quality of the Hebrew tongue and a growing desire to minister to the Jewish people (in the light of Romans ch.11,
we have decided to use the original Hebrew words in reference to the Almighty, instead of all their English equivalents. Wherever you see the little "memo" button on our pages, you can click the graphic to get to a short list of these and all other Hebrew words frequently used in our literature that we distribute freely among those who want to learn/know about the truth (Lk. 10:16!).
"... freely ye have received, freely give." (Matthew 10:8)
So, who is now this "Yeshua?" - First of all, He's not on that cross any more, neither is He that sweety-little-nicy-baby in Mary's arm as the Roman Catholics blasphemously belittle Him. He turned back into His original form (=spirit), this is meant when it speaks about going back to the Father.
"And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and His hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and His eyes were as a flame of fire; And His feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and His voice as the sound of many waters. And He had in His right hand seven stars: and out of is mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and His countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. And when I saw Him, I fell at his feet as dead. And He laid His right hand
upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: " (Revelations 1:12-17).
This is a description how He really looks alike. (Not a blond, blue eyed softy, longhaired hippy as shown on pictures of false christian churches). - It was so fearful and so scary that even the apostle John, a holy men who had been with Yeshua when He walked the earth in the flesh, and even lay in His bossom on the table, even this John fell down to the ground like dead. (Dt. 4:24;
Dt. 9:3;
and Hebr. 12:29).
All these false "Jesus" pictures out there, they are intented to rob from man the fear of Elohiym, and to give them a totally false picture about who Yeshua really is. Yeah, most F.C.'s don't even know His name, or at least they don't care one jot!
So, who is this Yeshua now really?
