Released in 1998 from the story Apt Pupil in the novel Different Seasons that was published in 1982 Director : Bryan Singer Starring : Ian McKellen, Brad Renfro Synopsis : Dark thriller about a teenager's twisted relationship with his nazi war criminal neighbor.  Though many might find its meandering plot slow going, McKellen's performance should deliver chills to suspense fans. Run time : 100 mins Available on VHS,DVD My Opinion : I didn't mind this movie.  It wasn't fantastic either.  Not exactly like the book which bothered me because there were things in the book that would have made the young man look even worse than what was shown on the movie and he was by far the more sinister of the two characters.
