RECOMMENDED WRESTLING/COMEDY SITES

OUR so-called SPORT
Major events in the world of wrestling are covered on this very very funny site. Current king of the wrestling/humour combo, in my opinion. Excellent WOW coverage as well as insightful insight from the Undertaker are among the attractions.

Dean Malenko Eats Dogs
He does! Why this site is here under "Recommended Wrestling/Comedy Sites" I don't really know, because this is a very serious problem that is NOT to be taken lightly. Go there, examine the evidence, and join the campaign!

WWF Mirror Images
Big site filled with fun stuff, mostly graphics and sounds. Mirror images, lookalikes, wrestlers and their wives, and loads more. WWF only.

RIP: The ScoopTHIS.com archives
Now dead, ScoopThis was for a long while the biggest and the best on the web in wrestling-related comedy (I'll just forget about the 'mainstream' stuff, but your moomoo may vary). You can still view a bunch of their old stuff in the archives. If you especially like Dusty the Fat Bitter Cat, well. . .

RIP: Respect the Pussy
It's not what it sounds like. This site houses the writings of ScoopThis.com's column-writing kitty Dusty, and while it's not as wrestling-oriented as ScoopThis was (especially not in the comedy department, which is here made up of a feline boy-band as well as other kitty-related matters), Dusty did frequently bring up the topic in his weekly columns. It went the way of ScoopThis, however, and is now there only in archive form.

RIP: WrestleCrap
This site used to revisit crappy wrestling gimmicks and point out that they sucked and were crappy. It got a big, big, big fanbase, but then went dead. It's currently being updated, but last I looked, there was bitching about Triple-H and not much that you could shove into the 'comedy' slot of your Box O' Different Shaped Slots. I might remove them from the list of links or re-write this entry if things change in the future, but for now, they get to stay.

SITES THAT'VE LINKED TO THIS SITE

[slash]wrestling
Chris Robin Zimmerman (of Wrestleline recaps fame) houses columns from anyone with decent enough typing skills who wants to try their hands at writing wrestling columns or recaps. This site used to be the place to go to for Pulp Bookerman and Notes from the Ross Report, as well as other stuff I sent in, and a few other contibuters write humorous stuff every now and then. The main attraction, however, is CRZ's own recaps of just about every wrestling show ever. Bookmark this and you'll never have to visit Wrestleline again. Highly recommended.

RIP?: The Shooters
This site used to belong to Luke Junnstunn, of "I Constantly Make Fun Of Sean Shannon Yet I Am Friends With Psycho Zach Arnold" fame. It had some cool writers such as Brian French, James Kalyn, and Steve Schroeder (and a bunch of other, the list is way too long: I'll just mention the three little letter n, T, and o), but a lot of it was offset by some real dillweeds (Eric Szulczewski, f'rinstance) and the unfunniest comedy features known to man. The domain name was recently sold (!) to messrs Nicholas "Blu" Cottrell, and he'll be the one to determine the fate of this here link. If he plugs me, it STAYS. For now, there's old school Shooter stuff to look at.

thecubsfan.com
Mr. Nudity Khan, formerly of Rantsylvania and DDT Digest and appearing frequently at [slash], recaps all the really important shows. Like WCW Worldwide, WWF Jakked, NWA shows, and of course WOW. You just don't get that sort of coverage elsewhere.

Y2Jason 99's Chris Jericho Tribute Page
If you couldn't guess it, this is a Chris Jericho tribute page, run by Y2Jason 99. It's everything you could expect from a Jericho tribute page, with a big picture gallery, a biography on the Canuck, a title history, commentary and more. A disturbingly greased up Chris Jericho no longer greets you as you click the link. I assume you can find one in the picture galleries, however.

RIP: The Oracles War Room
Home of the Oracles, who apparently have footage. Not on the site, though, as far as I can tell. Anyhoo, roughly 76 people contribute to this site with columns on various topics. Read them all and die. Oh, by the way, this site no longer exists in active form.

TheSmores.com
TheSmores prides itself a megasite, with news updates, recaps, and abunchofothercrap. Contributers include ex-webmaster and HeAT recapper Jeremy Botter as well as a bunch of people who haven't linked to this site in their news updates. Good site to go find out if that particular In Your House show in 1996 is worth watching or how many stars Stephen Regal vs Johnny B. Badd garnered in that opening match of Fall Brawl 1994.

DDT Digest
If you're a WCW fan, then this is the site for you. It has recaps of WCW shows, WCW picture gallerys, win/loss records for WCW wrestlers, and loads of other stuff. It really seems as if these guys cared about WCW. Quite impressive. WCW might be dead, but DDTDigest is still alive and kickin'. Well, maybe not kickin'.

RIP?: Parts Unknown
Parts Unknown is Scott Christ's very own site. You may recognize Scott as the Shooter who made up story about being in a car accident so that he could miss a RAW report without getting fired by Luke Johnston. It was recently remodelled but hasn't been updated in a while. (Like I'm one to talk). Anyway, it's worth going to just for the Goldberg picture on the front page, even if the link to me vanished with the refurnishing.

RIP: Let Me Write
Let who write? Let YOU write? No, let some very talented and truly awesome folks write, like on this here site. Steve Schroeder runs the ship, and such possibly-familiar names as James Kalyn, Brian French, and Drew Howells also contribute. Creative writing is the name of the game, so there's material on a lot of different stuff from sports to poetry to pizza deliveries gone haywire. Oh, and pro rasslin' comedy. Oops, this site, too, is dead.

The World's Greatest Online Wrestling Picture Gallery
Look at the title. Look at the site. Notice how the title is surprisingly truthful. Pictures of everyone, from no-talent hacks like Misawa and Steamboat to living legends like Bastion Booger and Gillberg, they're all here.

Anyone else link to the site and I missed it? Shoot me an e-mail!
