Hey,
can some of you give me a hand with these two
carcasses!! They're heavy as Hill Giants.
[Vertico's
back glissens with sweat as he struggles to pull and
immense object thru the double doors of the tavern]
Make
way! Make way! [Kazaan,
Ayrton, and some of the other Destructor's muscle
members wade over grabbing hold of whatever
handholds they can get and add their efforts in.
Togeather the guild manages to pull thru the two
carcasses into the middle of the tavern. Then and
only then does everyone notice the bodies to be none
other than the famous Grimfeathers and Grimfeathers Jr..
Twin banes of North Karanas]
I
know! I know! I know! I should have cut into small
manageable pieces. But
hey i was excited. And two the Qeynos Guards were
so excited they volunteered to help me drag them all the
way here. Lets get these heads mounted.
They're both great trophies for your tavern to
display.
[Vertico
smiles to the tavern owner.] [Valerestra
sharpens up an axe and swiftly brings it down on one
carcass as Kazaan does the same to the other. Both
producing clean cut trophy heads] Here, 100 pps for
you to clean stuff and mount these and 20pps for
drinks all around to celebrate. [Vertico says
throwing the tavern owner a heavy purse]
Valerestra see if those claws and feathers can
make some more arrows. I'm sure we can find
magical weapons to make from the hides and teeth.
Cheers
to the Destructors!!

Alarmed at the sudden rush of weapons being
drawn, Val puls her own bow out and knocks a new,
freshly made arrow... to look up and see Vertico trying
to haul the two birds in through the door and giggles.
Seeing that the other men have rushed to help out she
gladly picks up the axe for removing choice parts to be
mounted. "thanks for the talons Vert, I'll try them
out, but um, you had to bring the whole thing?
those bodies stink." Val wrinkles her
nose in disgust then goes back to her table and over a
goblet of Elven Wine starts thinking about her date for
the party... then turns to face Tajina... "Hey Taj,
what did you mean about the little boy? and Xentle?
Is he just a player or is this some barmaid trying
to take advantage of his honor and niceness? I wonder
abou thtat sometimes. Oh, has anyone asked you to
be their date yet? I hope a nice boy asks you and
you guys can go have lots of fun too, even if you are
the hostess

Actually
Val, thats the advantage of dragging it thru the
waterways and plains of Karanas All
the blood runs out of the bodies by the time you even
get to town. No blood no stench or very little.
But I didn't want to leave any body part behind
that might be made into a useful item. But you
right, its starting to reek a bit in here. [Vertico
opens up a window and the bar doors and then backs up
from the door a bit before evoking a spell. Instantly
the remains of the two griffons dissintegrate and appear
to become a fine mist hanging in the room. Vertico
then shifts his weight as he raises both open palms to
the ceiling and begins slowly drawing them togeather as
if he held a ball between them.]
Fuerme
Echscla ta Saibos!! [The
air turns watery and begins collessing into packets of
ice, all streaming to his hands creating a ball of ice
gathering the hanging mist as it forms. When all
the mist is gathered into his hands Vertico holds the
position for a split second before making a quick flick
of his arm, gesturing an open palm toward an empty
wooden crate in the corner just above a drain leading to
the underground sewers.] Ikrathasa!! [Instantly
the ball of ice becomes a handful of icicle shards that
land solidly in the side of the crate only to shatter
into particles a split second later into the waiting
drain below. Vertico then turns and takes a seat
to recharge his mana and beams a smile to
Valerestra.]
That
should take care of the smell. hehehe

:: Takes a bar rag left on his table and
whipes the Griffon slime off the side of his face.
:: I guess you need a little more practice with
those spells Vert. :: Looking at Tajina.
:: Which one are you talking ... um
... ::Valerestra's question registers and he swallows
a little, then makes himself look her in the eyes.
:: M'lady I am after all still a young elf, I have
not even exceeded 400 years yet. :: He feels
himself being drawn into her eyes, the radient pools of
her soul. His voice drops to a whisper and he
pushes his empty juice glass away... whispering
:: And I do not remember things that may have
happened when I had too much of the vines sweet
nectar. :: Becoming uncofortable, he silently gathers
his belongings and steps out the door heading down the
street. Mumbling tohimself when he has cleared the
building:: Perhaps, I am not so pure sweet lady, but
I do not know deceit. .... ... ... ::

"eewww! gross! Hold on Xentle you
missed a spot..." Val runs out to Xentle and with a
clean towel wipes a spot of slime off his face that he
missed. "there you go cutie. Now stay away
from those barmaids, unless you use a sheep skin to make
sure nobody else tries to claim you as a sugar daddy for
their little gutter trash children" Val hurles the
rag into a barmaids face, slimy side out, then turns
back to Xentle "now don't you worry, being only 104
myself I understand that sometimes you do things you
aren't proud of. I hear a good cleric can tell if
you are really the daddy or not by checking the little
rugrats DNA (that's Distinctive Norrathian
Attributes
) against your own. " With a gentle squeeze of
Xentle's hand and a bright smile into his soft greeen
eyes Val starts to turn back to the tavern "Good hunting
hun, be safe"
After going back inside Val calls to a
different barmaid "bring me another bottle of elven
wine, corked" and starts heading back to her
table.
"Thanks for opening the windows and
cleaning up in here Vertico, it's smelling better
already." :smiles back at vertico and says "why don't
you came over and share this bottle with me, anyone else
want a drink too? I am celebrating the fact that I
have reached the 30th rank as a Ranger last night,
battling nasty giants in the Frontier Mountains
Thank you Tajina, Vertico, Overit, Aerila and
Xentle for helping me... Xentle? oh, right, well I hope
he comes back soon to celebrate with us" :fills a
goblet of wine for Xentle to drink upon his return then
raises her glass in toast "thank you for being such a
fine and stalwart group of friends, health and good
hunting too you all" :throws back her own goblet and
drains it in one smooth motion

After helping drag the Griffs into the
Tavern, Ayrton again makes ready to depart, "things sure
are hoping around here", he thinks to himself, "I'm
sure this group can handle anything that may come
along..."
He starts down the path to the main
road out of town, stopping to readjust his packs and
weapons, he sees Xentle headed towards him down the
path, but obviously his friend is entirely absorbed in
his own thoughts, he hasnt seen Ayrton yet, then Val
chases him down, they exchange some quiet words, and Val
runs back towards the tavern.
Ayrton waits til
Xentle is almost upon him, then says, "Hail Brother, is
all well with our friends?"... Xentle mumbles
something that Ayrton cant quite make out, nods and
proceeds down the path at a more hurried
speed...
"Strange, he usually is so composed"
Ayrton thinks, "I wonder what Val said that so upset the
Enchanter".
Ayrton strolls back to the tavern,
steps just inside the door, sees his friends all
toasting drinks in earnest (pretty normal here), his
gaze strays to Tajina, the look on his face almost
wishful, he quickly realizes he is showing more emotion
than a warrior should, "it is hard for a warrior to find
that one love, for he may be dead tommorrow, to leave
behind a wife and children goes against all that he
believes in."
But his feelings for her are clear,
at least in his own mind, she is all that any elf would
want in a lifetime companion...If only his own past and
future path were more clear..
He makes a decision
that could change his life forever, right then and
there...
"Tajina?, Milady?, Might I interupt
thine celebration for a moment under the stars? I would
have words with thee.."
Tajina nods and excuses
herself from the gathering...
"I apologize,
friends, I will return her to you with all
haste"
Finding himself outside, in the clear air,
he realizes this is the moment of truth...He musters the
courage and asks, "Tajina, milady, you have always been
there for me, since the "day of freedom", (how they
privately refer to the day she freed him from the Mino
slavers), I'd like to think we have a bond that cant be
denied...I know Ill be on the road for your party, but
Ill try my best to return that eve. It may be selfish of
me to ask this, as Im not sure Ill make it back in time,
but if I can, and I mean to try, it would please me
emmensely to find you unaccompainied and waiting for my
return. I guess Im trying to ask you to your
party, and doing a fairly poor job of it. If you
have another offer, that indeed would be more firm, I'll
not think less of you for accepting it".
Ayrton
looks up at the stars, silently praying to Tunare, to
guide him, and Tajina as well, to make the proper choice
in this, as in all
things...

:: Xentle steps back into the tavern and
notices all the empty bottles of Elf Wine and empty
glasses strewn across the guilds favorite tables.
He smiles wen he notices the full glass setting on
the table where he normally sits. :: I missed a
celebration I see. :: He beams a warm smile at
Valerestra. :: Thanks for getting that spot I
missed, it could have been embarrassing doing business
with griffon slime still on my face. :: Pulling
out a scroll, he hands it to the barmaid he ad given the
coin purse earlier. :: Would you give this to
your cousin or her son also? You are very kind to
her, Xentle. :: The barmaid replies glancing
nervously at Valerestra. :: The boy does
look more and more like you as he grows older though,
but you are the only one who helps her and you know for
sure the other kids are not yours. :: Xentle
laughs turning from her and walks over to join his guild
mates, picking up the glass of wine. :: To
whatever we are celebrating. :: He reaches over
as if he were going to caress Valererestra’s cheek in
his palm, but lowers his hand and downs the glass of
wine and sits down dropping his load on the floor to
either side of the chair. :: How much should I
drink. :: He chuckles looking at Val. Then
looking around at the rest of the guild he lifts a fresh
glass of wine to each . :: Friends, it is high
time we planned and executed a successful raid. I
say we set a time and plan and work a place, practice
the movement and techniques that will always contribute
to success. :: Spreading maps out on the tables
he gets distracted by the noise building outside. . .

:: Sits quietly
watching her guild mates make short work of the griffins
Vertico has so proudly dragged ALL the way back to the
inn. Tajina studies Vertico for a moment, ‘He's a nut’,
she concludes and he definitely likes Val. It can
be seen in his eyes every time he looks at her. And Val,
who does she like ? Tajina thought about pulling Val
aside and setting her straight about her long time
friend and battle partner but decides to just stay out
of it, for now anyway. He seems to like this girl,
it's a little different with her then it has been with
all the others, for one thing if a roll should happen
between them and she found her self unable to fight well
in 6mo. she would not pin it all on him, No, this one is
different. She has the heart of a warrior and the
drive of some higher call. Nope, no traps are being set
here, at lest not the kind he usually falls into. Tajina
now sitting with the rest of her guild mates drains her
glass once again as she toasts to what ever, every one
is toasting to. Tajina loved this guild and this
particular group of people, they could toast and drink
to just about any thing and happily so. She trusts
them with her life, for they have saved it meny a
time. She was about to make a toast of her own when
Ayrton asked to see her outside... Outside in the
clear air Tajina notices something in Ayrtons face, in
the sound of his voice, his words seemed a bit unsure,
not something she was used to hearing in him." Yes the
day of freedom, Tajina looks deep into Arytons eyes "I
rescued a stranger and found a friend. " she
smiles. Tajina smiled brightly at Ayrton as he asked
her about the party, Ahh this explains the strangeness
in his voice, She thought to herself, How sweet of
him. Asking me to party just so I won't appear dateless.
He's trying to make me feel better with out insulting
me. Tajina takes a deep breath. And looks deep into
Ayrton eyes again, " Ayrton, No, I haven't been asked to
the party by any one as of yet and you are most welcome
to come to the party late, all are welcome to this
party, date or not." Still gazing into Ayrton's eyes she
is overwhelmed by his kindness. "Ok, if when you show up
and if we are both still with out companions we shall
escort each other." That strange look washed
across Ayrtons face again. What does that mean she
briefly wondered perhaps he's secretly wishing he hadn't
asked. As they parted ways Tajina leaned over and
gently kissed Ayrton on the cheek, thank you she mutters
and wonders back into the tavern. Back in the tavern
she takes her seat an orders a fresh glass. Val
flashes her a look of mild interest but her attention is
clearly on Xentle and the quite chat he is having with
the barmaid. Tajina smiles and snickers to her self
she Pats Val on the shoulder," I'll fill you in later
she smiles, when I have your full attention." Tajina
fills her glass, drains it and then refills it. She
raises it and drains it to all of Xentle toasts matching
him glass for glass. Standing she raises her glass
once again. " Here, here, here's to planning a
successful raid " Tajina drains her glass. "Oops bottles
empty, Barkeep! You better bring us a few more
bottles, it's going to take at lest 3 just to get
through all these maps." She giggles at her self "
Drats, I think maybe I shouldn't have drunken so much so
fast, she sits back down. Ohh Vert, I'm sorry didn't
mean to sit on you, when did you move ? She almost falls
on the floor laughing, Oops sorry again, I guess it
wasn't you that moved. Red faced and now back in her own
seat she turns her full attention onto the maps Xentle
is spreading out across the table. She hears some
noise out side, looking around the table she see that
the others hear it too, she looks to the door........

Ayrton stood in the clearing outside the
Tavern for a full five minutes, his fingertips lightly
resting where Tajina's lips had so recently, yet
briefly, laid gently on his cheek...
"Aye", he
thinks to himself, "a fool I made of myself, milady only
thinks of me as the younger brother she doesnt
have..."
He walks out of the clearing into the
forest and starts cutting down saplings. Getting 10 or
so he walks back into the clearing, and begins chopping
them into kindling with the Tavern owners wood axe. when
he has a good size pile of kindling, and the attention
of all in the tavern, it would seem. He says aloud in
a voice all could hear for 200 paces in any
direction.
"This will be my contribution to the
party, Milady." Obviously, he hoped, directed at Tajina.
"I will chop down trees for a bonfire the likes of which
has never been seen in all of Norrath, the wood will dry
between now and thine party, I would ask you hold on
lighting it until my return, and you hold the brand with
me that lights it."
Hoping his intentions were
clear to all who heard, that Tajina was to be his
companion, hoping even more so that she, Tajina herself,
understood where his feelings came from, and that she
would be here, with him, lighting the fire that shall
light all the world.
"Tunare help me," he thinks
to himself, "I am as some lovesick wolf, howling into
the night air for his lost mate."
He hefts the
axe and heads out into the forest looking for old half
dead trees to build the grandest, most
magnificent....

:: Steps to the side door of the
Tavern to investigate the noise coming from outside,
ready but not alarmed in particular.
:: hmmmm :: He watches Ayrton
fervently stacking firework as fast as his battle axe
could wage war against the underbrush and deadwood
nearby. Hearing his comment stated with such
conviction about the bonfire at the party, Xentle starts
to make a comment then decides it is wiser to refrain.
Turning around he head back to the table strewn
with maps. Picking one of the maps up, he looks at
it a moment, then chuckles. :: Tajina, do you
remember that half-elf you could not stop talking about
for a few moon cycles? Do you ever talk to him any
more? :: Rolling the map he picked up and
retying the sash the held it Xentle slips it back into a
backpack. :: Befallen, I think we should practice in
befallen. We practice going into every room on the
first floor, then we move through the first door. Then
we practice moving into every room on the second level
before moving down further. I am betting we can do
the whole Dungeon without loosing anyone. :: He
looks around at the faces gazing at the map or himself.
:: I asked Tajina about her half-elf friend,
because he is as close as I know to a master of running
raids. Perhaps he might lead us on a higher level
raid at some point, like camping the chancellor in the
Sarnek castle, or if we can gather enough companions
perhaps actually enter the halls of the Giants in
Frontier Mountains? :: Gaze a moment in Valerestra’s
blue orbs as if looking upon her soul. ::
It would not be a bad idea to call upon allies
and other friends to help us learn the methods that have
worked for them and perhaps serve as our guardians on a
couple raids. We will want strong alliances later
and this is not a bad way to start working on them.
:: Sitting down he wonders if everyone
is really ready for this. They are good and he
thinks they are good enough just need to work on raiding
techniques. His eyes wander to Val’s and then to
the stairs leading up to the room where he usually
spends the night when he is in town, distracted
momentarily by thoughts more to himself. Pulling
his mind back he awaits the input of his friends.

<CRACK> another bowstaff snaps into
fragments
&%@&#%!
You would think that of all people Maesin Trueshot could
make 1 decent bowstaff and that's the twelfth one that
was too brittle! Well, I'm going to be in Gfay for
Vre's wedding later, I'm gonna give that 2 bit stick
merchant a piece of my mind!
:storms
off to her room to get ready for the wedding, returning
down the stairs a short while later clean, refreshed and
ready to go.
Well friends, I'm on my way out,
hope someone at the wedding is willing to dance with me
since I forgot to line up a date. Have a great
night, I'll try to catch up to you all later if a group
forms someplace.
:Val
picks up her 2 cases of elven wine and walks toward the
door with a cheerful wave and smile to everybody... then
stops... Taj, was there something you wanted to discuss?
We'll get together later, k
<The
quiet evening in town is disturbed well after the
Witching Hour by crashes and slurred grumbling followed
by a loud thump, the next morning finds Val sprawled on
the stairs with an empty bottle near her outstreched
hand... her eyelids flutter as dawn breaks sending a
stream on light into the room>
</moan>
oohhhh, somebody stop the room from spinning please
<starts to sit up and falls back> never mix elven
wine, gypsy wine, stout beer and whatever else I had, I
feel awful this morning... sure was fun last night
though. A beautiful wedding performed by one of
Ayone's Chosen, Kendar and a wild party after...
I seem to remember dancing with lots of people, blurry
orcs that I didn't dance with... or maybe I did, yes I
did once, or not... did I?
oh my, I can't remember... I aksed you to stop the room
please, I want to get off... and then there were some
big chickens and cactus creatures and rinocereseses I
think,
maybe and Taj and Xentle
they weren't at the wedding how did they get
there...<smiles at what she thinks is the memory of
meeting her friends with Vre then tries to sit up again
and fails, slumping back onto the stairs> Well,
I'm just going to lay here a while wake me up when......
<Val drifts off once again into a dainty slumber,
smiling at pleasant dreams>

Tajina wonders down the
stairs with the morning light. Her head still swimming
from last nights brandy and the events of the last few
nights, she suddenly trips over a from laying on the
steps. * OUCH ! WHAT THE ...... * She picks
her self up off the floor and sees that it's Val. she
rushes over to her friend fearing the worst. Val!
Oh no! VAL!!. When she reaches her to see how hurt
she is, Tajina doubles over laughing, the smell
alone told her what was wrong with her friend. " I owe
you one for this," she says to the slumbering figure on
the steps." Scaring me like that, not to mention the
fall. " She tries to move Val but the exertions make
her dizzy. " When will I learn to stay away from
the brandy ? " She looks at Val and tries to get her
to wake up and move on her own. Val only mumbles
something incoherent and almost trips Tajina again as
she changes her position. " Ok fine ! " Tajina
steps over Val and heads back upstairs and returns
moments later with a blanket, she spreads it over Val.
Looking at Val, " She looks like I feel"
Glancing around the tavern the only other person
there was the barmaid that Val had thrown the towel at.
And she wouldn't come near Val. Tajina snickered at the
extremes the barmaid now took to avoid Val. "
Would you please have the barkeep make her one of his
wonderful hangover remedies, if any one ever needed one
it's going to be Val when she wakes up, by the looks of
her it won't be till sometime tomorrow." " Umm sure,
ok. " The barmaid replies with a nervous look at the
Ranger. Tajina gathers her stuff up and heads
outside. The crisp morning air helps to clear her head
up, taking in a deep breath she sees the wood pile
Ayrton has built, indeed how could any one miss it.
She stops and stares at it for a few minutes the
entire scene from the other night played out again in
her mind. " Well, that’s one way to ask a gal out
on a date she mused to her self." Just what was she
going to do about Ayrton until the other night she had
little idea of his feelings for her. Or so she kept
telling her self. Maybe she had just been avoiding any
thoughts along those lines, after all if she didn't know
then she wouldn't have to face her own feelings in this
mater, problem was she really didn't know what her
feeling were. What kind of a commitment was he looking
for and was she ready for any kind of relationship of
this nature in her life right now. And if she were ready
was she sure he was who she wanted. Was she sure he
wasn't the one she wanted. She wondered on down the road
pondering and talking to her self like some kind of
madwoman...... |

Wooh!
What a day!! [Vertico
says staggering into the tavern.]
Nice
job with those head mountings [As
he makes his way to the tavern corner to buy a drink,
Vertico bumps into the barmaid who is standing next to
the staircase.]
Scuse
me Miss, Sorry about that.
What, another hangover cure potion?? Alright
whose it this time, Xentle, Ayrton? "Uh,
no" ,the barmaid hisses in his ear as if fearful of
waking someone nearby. "Its for her." Pointing to
the base of the stairwell which is occupied by a
slumbering Valerestra. "But I can't give this to
her til she is awake." , the barmaid say wringing her
apron in distress. "And i dare not try to wake
her. Lord know what she'll throw at me.
Can't take many more bruises like the last
one."
Hmmm
well I can wake her for you if you wish. Just be
ready with that potion" [Vertico
walks over and gently shakes her. But to no avail.
Even pinching her on the cheeks has produces no
responses from Val short of long snores. Vertico
pulls out a heavy purse of 300 plats and waves it uner
her nose. But still no response.]
Yep,
she's out alright. Looks like nothing short of
physical abuse will wake her. Stand clear plz,
Miss [With
a sweep of his hands he flings his cape back off his
shoulders and bows his head slightly. Instantly
electricity courses across his eyes. Vertico then
brings his two hands to about stomach lvl just infront
him with with all fingers outstretched. Air
between his hands crackles and turns solid with electric
bolts snaping back and forth creating a cats cradle
pattern with their energy discharges.] [Angry light
flickers across the tavern walls as Vertico folds his
hands over each other and then flips them both in a
quick gesture to the air just above Valerestra.
The energy leaps out like a freed animal and
gathers into a dense cloud above Val.]
Deslagrate
In InterVolia [Suddenly
the dense cloud turns black and begins to torrentally
rain drenching Valerestra with cold, fresh water
unceremonously waking her from her deep sleep.]
Morning
there sleepy head
 [Vertico
reflexes suddenly kick in as his hand does what appears
to be across the chest, open palm block only to produce
a wet dagger that had been only a moment before flying
toward his throat.]
Now,
Now is that any way to greet a friend. Here drink
this it will make you feel better, hun [Vertico
says handing Val the potion the barmaid had been
holding. After giving Val a reassuring pat and
hug, he goes over and orders a drink and relaxes as the
barmaid mops the water into the nearby drain]

<<Vertico, Valerestra does NOT snore!
heehee >>
<Val's dreams of running
across the treetops with her dream man suddenly change
to her traumatic experience of getting pushed off the
boat and having to swim through Timorous Deep.. a giant
eel is coming, reaching for her, teeth gnashing at her,
her eyes fly open and she whips out a dagger hurling it
at a dark shadow looming in front of her... and
fortunately Vertico is quick enough to deflect
it>
Oh! I'm sorry about the knife cutie, I had
the worst dream... wait why am I all wet? WTF? Did I
pass out here? At least some kind and sweet person was
nice enough to lay a blanket over me, even though it's
all wet now, do you know who that was? I should
thank them properly <takes the mug of remedy
from Vertico after he gets it from the barmaid and takes
a sip> mm, thanks <turns to the barmaid, who
flinches under Val's gaze> and thank you too dearie,
sorry about the towel the other day, I know it's not you
but some other ho that is fleecing my friend Xentle.
Here... for your trouble <tosses the barmaid a
pouch full of platinum and slowly, carefully stands up
to let the barmaid clean up the wet
mess>
Bartender, <Val calls out as she
eases herself down at the nearest table> can I have
some toast and oatmeal please? thank you <puts her
head down to rest and wait on her
breakfast>

Ayrton, having worked through the night on
the woodpile, was just relaxing with his favorite
pipeweed, sitting with his back against the huge pile of
kindling and trees....he strikes flint to stone and
sparks off a lit piece of kindling, careful to put it
out, lest his bonfire burn prematurely.
Sitting
back and taking a deep pull off his pipe, he closes his
eyes, and sends a huge cloud of Karana Red, billowing
away over the woodpile back towards the inn...A halfling
named Dantarius Herbmaster, had introduced Ayrton to
pipeweed, after hearing him complain of hangovers, and
Ayrton has been a light drinker, HEAVY smoker ever
since. Although in his travels he has seen and
tried many types, he has never found any the likes of
which that Halfling had...."Must be some truth to the
surname Herbmaster" Ayrton muses to himself.
A
short time passes and he hears the Tavern door open and
close, and footsteps passing by the other side of the
woodpile. Just as he is about to call out to
whoever it is, he sees Tajina walking away down the
path, she is obviously in a battle within herself, she
is almost arguing with herself it seems. He
wonders if he is to blame for her dilemma, not sure if
he wants to be or not, because he doesnt want to cause
her this type of anxiety. Now he wonders if he said too
much, too soon and WAY too loud. Not that he wonders how
he feels, he knows that, and would act exactly the same
again. If they were to go back in time and live
yesterday again.... He would still be right here with
blistered hands and a huge pile of, well
nature....Tunare forgive me, I'll plant 100 trees in the
spring, just dont pull your guidance from me
now...
Now Ayrton is slightly rattled himself,
fearing he may have alienated both his goddess and his
good friend, he again lights his pipe and pulls deep,
feeling the calming effect, again allows a billlowing
cloud of smoke to drift from his
lungs....
"Perhaps it is time I made that
journey, I'll give Tajina time to think about me and my
big mouth, and stay far enough away that she wont hear
anything else as arrogant sliding from between my lips,
I'll return to light this pile of wood, and if I light
it alone, so be it, she will always be as close to my
heart as this ribcage which protects it, even if she
were to love another. There is no way to repay her
for the freedom, no this very life, which she has given
me, and living the role of her "brother" would not be my
choice, but I would NEVER hurt her, or allow her to
be hurt by my feelings for her, I will always stand by
her. that is Tunare's Truth." I place my fate in
Tunare's capable hands, if it be not her will,
then who am I to argue." Suddenly Ayrton realizes he
was talking out loud, softly, to himself, but out loud
all the same. Feeling embarrassed and slightly buzzed,
he giggles and says out loud, "Sometimes my big mouth
even surprises me. If anyone heard that, just take into
account what I'm smoking." He laughs even louder and
starts towards the Tavern door, feeling like some druid
cast levitate on him, all the while, both feet touching
the ground......
