Tajina sat drinking her
beer raising her glass to every little tale that fell
upon her ears, a mate had asked her about her new
bracers, " aye, my bracers yes these's are a story
to be told" ::she pauses to shine them up a
bit.:: " A few nights back I was hunting
with some of our fellow mates when they all decided to
make camp to get an early start, which left me alone to
hunt So I decided to go explore the frozen land of the
eastern wastes in Veloius, as fate would have it,
:: Tajina motioned for the barmaid to bring
another round of drinks :: I gated my
self to the Eastern wastes, when I appeared I found
myself in the middle of a group of Dragon Flames. At
first I was startled, not knowing what was happening
around me, unsure of who these people were and of their
intent, for they were gathered very close to the zone, I
quickly drew my hammer fearing they were battling some
fierce beast that at any moment it would surly be upon
me. As I drew my hammer, and took my battle pose, They
quickly reacted, jumping to their feet ready to spring
into action, a tense moment passed between us all and
then quickly faded as a familiar voice said " hail
Tajina " I turned to see my friend Aeorick the
bard, the moment was over every one visible relaxed,
Aoerick's guild mates gave him some looks I didn't quite
understand, gave me a look over and simply turned back
to whatever it was they were doing. Aeorick smiled and
took me off the side, after a brief chat, I learned that
they were gathering a select group together to
brave the treacherous caverns of Naggy, before I knew
what was happening I found my self traveling at the
dizzying speed of a bard across the darken evil lands of
Nektulos, in no time at all we were standing at the
entrance of Naggy's cave. I could hear the dragon
slumbering deep in it's depths. I suddenly
wondered what on Norrath I was doing here,
adventure ? eh, I was going to get my self killed
is what’s going to happen. :: Tajina paused to
slam down another shot and chase it with yet another
beer :: Aeorick must have sensed my
apprehension for he told me " fear not malady, for you
travel with Bertalius, Leader of the Dragon Flame and
some of the best fighters in the guild and the Cleric
that travels with us is not only beautiful but she is
also one of the best clerics to be found in all of
Norrath. :: Tajina took a long draw off her
beer wrapped in her private thoughts for a moment,
remembering how when she had looked into Aeoricks deep
green eyes and saw amusement in them, and how it had
some how calmed her fears about entering the dragons
lair. Tajina's thoughts and story were interrupted as
all attention went to the door, and snickers and giggles
rolled around the room as Unaly entered the Tavern the
giggles turned to laughter as she dropped her coin pouch
on the table and all of it's contents spilled out in
every direction, every one watched as Unaly freed
herself of a burdens she was carrying and ordered a
dink. " Umm Barkeep, Put her drinks on my tab "
Tajina yelled out with a nod hello to Unaly. Tajina
watched and listened in amusement as Unaly settled in
and told her tale and all too soon bid the guild
good night." night Unaly Oh, and if you ever find that
pitcher, you should have the barkeep put it up on the
wall it will make a great addition to Vert's collection.
Tajina watched as Unaly went up the stairs still
fighting with her backpacks and such, Tajina shook her
head and wondered How someone who is so seemly
clumsy could be so fierce and graceful on the
battlefield. As if on cue Xentle wondered into
the Tavern yelling for wine, he made his way to the bar
and then over to a table to sit with the rest of his
mates. "Only you Xentle would try to cross an
ocean with nothing more then a good sow and levitation
but thanks for the boat jumping info, that might come in
handy sometime. " Tajina raised her glass to him "
and an early gratz on your someday mastering the craft
of making jewelry " Tajina motioned to the barmaid
for more drinks again. Tajina spilt her beer a little as
she chased down her shot " sorry Xen didn't mean
to get any on your new stuff it looks real nice she
smiles to him as she finished her beer and told the bar
maid to keep them coming. Tajina's attention was
suddenly pulled to the door as she heard the noises from
outside, and then sees Ayrton an Trop enter the tavern,
she gives Trop a shy smile and an apologizing look as he
steps in an takes a seat. she watches Ayrton walk over
to his usual table in the corner and sits with out
another word or look at the guild. Jatina sat quietly
watching Ayrton and drinking her beer she hadn't
realized she was starring at him till Vals voice broke
her concentration She stood and welcomed Val, lifted her
glass as Val lead everyone in yet another toast to the
gallant and heroic battles every one has gone through of
late. |

As the evening wore
on, every one was in high spirts as toast after toast
and tale after tale was shared, And Jatina tipped her
glass to each and ever one, She kept catching herself
looking at Ayrton who still sat silently in his corner,
she stood to go over and join him but lost her balance
and fell back into her chair, the alcohol had caught up
with her. " Oh, well probably for the best he's
obviously deep in thought " she said to her self.
She couldn't help but notice how drunk Val was
getting, Val had begun to slur her words bad and was now
yelling her toasts out an almost as suddenly as she
started yelling she grew very quite in her speech and
looked as if she was going to pass out right there at
the table. She though about helping her friend up stair
so she could sleep it off but being very drunk her self
they probably both would doing nothing more then fall
down the stairs. She watched as Xentle also seeing how
drunk she was went to her and stood her up and half
dragging her and half carrying her took up the stairs,
if it had been any one else taking the very drunk Val
upstairs she would have intervened and tried to help her
herself but Val was in safe hands with Xentle, he might
be a flirt and have a way with the ladies but he was
honorable and these two clearly liked each other. Tajina
watched as they disappeared up the stairs and decided
the was a cue for her to get her own self home.
She stood and with a final toast to the guild and
bid them all good night. Swigged down her beer and
staggered for the door only losing her balance a few
times but never hitting the ground. “ see she giggled to
herself I can still walk... and she stepped out into the
night heading for home...... |

Ayrton, watching Tajina stumble to the
door, and knowing he was under her scrutiny most of the
evening, he pushes aside the ale he had been nursing
since he got there.....
"These ladies sure cant
hold their alcohol", he says outloud to nobody in
particular, getting a raucous laugh from those still
sober enough to make out the comment....
Ayrton
feels the need to speak to Tajina, he has been trying to
let it go all evening, and knows now she is too far gone
to remember all he has to say tommorrow
anyway.
Once again his sense of timing has let
him down, he decides to make sure Tajina arrives to her
bed and not in some gutter or worse, so he gathers his
belongings and nods to those who notice his leaving, he
pushes through the door and out into the clear
night....
Tajina is already out of sight and he
sets to finding her footprints in the path, upon finding
her mark, he starts at a brisk pace to catch up to
her....when he finally sees her up ahead, she is no
longer alone, and seems to be quite happy in the care of
the person who is holding her up....they shuffle off
towards her home, and Ayrton stands, alone in the path,
confused, and though he would never admit it,
hurt...
He wonders about the stranger, he hasnt
seen him before, he wore a black cloak over his armor so
no telltale sign of whence he came was visible....Ayrton
figures the guild knows all about it, so he doesnt
bother going back and asking who it is, he was gone too
long and her eye wandered, he gathers his wits,
(whats left of them at the moment), and calls out for a
port to Ice Clad Island, acquires the services of a
wizard, and finds himself in bitter cold and harsh wind,
surrounded by Snow Dervishes...."Just great, now I get
to fight my way to Thurgadina, Ill make a Giant Killing
here Im sure", he dryly chuckles at his own joke, until
thoughts of Tajina wash through his mind yet
again.....Sobering his mood and adding to his
unconscious wish to die a glorious death in fiery battle
against the most powerful foes he could
find...
Alone and not thinking clearly he heads
out into the frozen lands of Velious, not knowing what
his fate will be, all his previous plans, dreams and
thoughts, seemed doomed to unfulfillment. Something
he couldn't bear, and wouldn't face, yet here he is
confronted with the thought that he may be alone for a
long time to come....
He hastily scribbles out a
note, drops it with the bard mail service, pays the
young bard 5 pp to make sure it finds the hand of Tajina
of The Destructors....and he heads off into the Eastern
Wastes.....the snow erasing his footsteps almost as
quickly as he makes them....... |

<Dragging in another trophy for the
wall, this time the head of a Wurm slain by a Destructor
raiding party in Great Divide, Val bumps into Bertalyius
and turns around>
Hi Bertalius!
<Val hugs Bertalius> Nice to see you here!
Remember me at Vreia and Gicounsels wedding, they
introduced me to all you guys and I have to say that you
Dragon Flame warriors are good, real good, almost as
good as me, heehee, help me haul this thing in and I'll
buy you a drink.
I really had a great time at the wedding and
subsequent drunken party in Crushbone, we sure showed
those orcs a thing or too didnt we, well between shots.
Bartender! More Wine!
<Val
walks over to her usual seat, and sees that it has a
nice plaque with her name emblazzoned on it and a
bouquet of flowers> Oh my! How Sweet!
I wonder who these are from, oh a note... <Val
reads the note and blushes deeply
Aw, he's so nice <glances upstairs then lifts
her goblet>
So for the first toast, here's to
the group that had such success last night, Alixa,
Calison, Loganberry, Xentle, Timberalex, thanks for
joining with me against the Wurms and Tarsuks, it was a
lot of fun <throws back her goblet draining t all as
is her custom for the first drink of the
night.>
Second, to Bertalyius, Vreia,
Gicounsel, Aeorick and all the rest of the DragonFlames
I have had the honour to group with lately, you guys are
great
<again throwing the drink back and this time
hurling her goblet into the fireplace, Val then lifts
the bottle and calls out again>
And third, to
all Destructors, the best group of mates a girl could
have! <Val upends the bottle and whiping out
her blade shears the end off cleanly then shotguns the
entire contents... after which she lets out a sigh and
falls back into her chair>
Let
the alcohol warm my bones then back to the frozen lands
for more hunting, anyone wanna come with?
<when
Bertalyius leaves Val steps outside a moment and
examines his tracks and the way he went for later
reference, then returns to the bar to await her
mates> |

:: Coming down the stairs, Xentle
hangs the large black cloak on the rack at the end of
the bar. :: Please return this to the kind
Halasian in the third room from the top of the stairs.
I really thought it was going to rain the other
night and he handed it to me when I ran down the stairs
on the balcony to help the staggerring Tajina home.
:: Walking to his chair and looking
affectionately into Valerestra's eyes. :: After
of course I tucked this lovely elf in for the
night. :: Smiling warmly :: I hope you
noticed I polished your armor and left it in order, you
almost didn't make it to the bed before you passed
out. :: Sitting down in his chair Xentle joins
Valerestra in her victory cheers, noticing the
Taxidermist already working on mounting the Wurm head.
:: Aye, a good lot the Dragon Flames, I shall
drink double to them and the company they share with us.
There is a common spirit between us. ::
Admiring Valerestra's energy and enthusiasim as he
watches her third cheer almost tumbling her chair
backwards, he catches it with his foot and brings it
back upright. :: True cheer and may we stand as
one always, to the Destructors.
..
You
know I will fight with you anywhere, and almost any
time.

Trudging through the snow in the Great
Divide, Ayrton alone and exhausted, cold and beaten,
sees in the dim light a cave ahead. He creeps steathly
into the cave, catiously keeping his armor silent....he
rounds a bend, and in less time than it takes him to
think Tajina's name, he is dead....
Struck down
by the Broodmother, Queen of the Shardwurms. For in
his exhausted state, Ayrton had slipped into her lair,
and met his doom in a moments time, a lightning blast
from the Broodmother and his life is forfeit.

Tajina roams into the
Tavern looking very fresh and well rested, her hair is
still a little wet the long golden strands hanging to
their full length down her back. " Hello every one,
and how are we all today ? " She heads over to her chair
and see's that her name has been added to it, she
smiles " I guess no on will ever question where the
destructors hang out again will they " She took her seat
next to the window and turned her back to it so the sun
beating in through the window could dry her hair
quicker. " Barkeep I'll take your daily
special what ever that might be and a mead please. "
Upon receiving her drink she turns to
the guild " Here's to you all and the fallen
giants in the snow and here's to the destructors we
shall turn the pure white snows of Velious red one day
with the blood of her enemies, just as we did the giants
and the Tizmak last night." She then
sat back down and began eating her meal. " I
hear Bertalius was in here the other day looking for me,
I wish I hadn't missed him. We have things to discuss. "
Tajina finished eating and pushed her plate
aside and set to the task of combing her Long golden
hair out as she did so it fell in untamed waves down her
back an over her shoulders. " Wow, I can't believe
how soft this is today' Tajina mused to no one in
particular," hehe who knew that the swampy waters
in and around Guk would have such an effect on hair' she
laughed to her self ' or maybe it was the freezing
waters of Iceclad or the dark waters of Rathelake, you
see Aoerick taught me the fine art of bridge diving
yesterday." Just then a messenger came
in and delivered a note to Tajina, she quickly read the
note. Apparently an acquaintance of hers had
stumbled over Ayrton's frozen corpse some where in
Velious and dragged it to safety and sent word to her.
Tajina quickly put her hair up in it's customarily
manor, stuffing it all inside the hair net she wore to
keep it out of her face and off her shoulders so it
wouldn't get in the way of things. She then gathered her
stuff up and headed for the door. " I'm off to Velious
in search of a cleric." She announced as she headed out
the tavern door.... |

to go....
Ok one quick shot but that's
it...
Bert orders three shots of whatever the
girls are drinking....raises his after presenting the
girls there's......
Aoerick bursts through the
door...BERT!!!! you said you where just stopping in to
tell the Destructors that we where headed into Befallen
to make sure it was all ready for there
raid!!!!
Bert rolls his eye....Aoerick...with an
alcholol tolerance higher than Taj's barbill...your a
fine one to be scolding me about having a drink....now
order a shot and come have a toast with me and the
girls...
Like Aoerick has to be told twice....and
aoerick lead the toast..
"To Dragon Flame and
Destructor friendship forever!!!"
Drinking done a
sad parting is inevitable....Bert and Aoerick must
leave....see you all in Befallen....till
then.........dieing for something you believe in is
noble...Dieing for nothing is a tragedy....

:: Tizmaks, Ry'Gorrs, Ice Giants, it
is all a blurr the last few days as Xentle walks into
the Tavern. He reads the note that Tajina left on
the table and drops 150pp on it. :: You will
need a coffin and a necro to get that corpse out fo the
maws of the mother dragon, or the forces of an older
guild to pry it out. Val you know a necro don't
you? :: Looking up he looks around to see if
Val is even in the room. :: Drinks for all
barkeep, to celebrate my making the next circle and now
being able to hand out Clarity to those in need. ::
Sitting down in his chair he slips another note
between the letters in Val's name on the back of her
chair. ::

The
door flys open and with comes a chilling wind as Vertico
comes in, back first, laboring to get in the door with
his burden
Ayrton
if you really want Tajina's attention that is one way to
get it, but you might want to make sure you are in one
piece to be presentable to her.
Joining the two separated parts of you was quite
difficult you know. Had to disembowel the
Shardwurm Queen to get your other half. Oh by the
way her name is ShardTooth. Try to watch out for
her. She has a nasty bite as you well know by now.
 <Vertico's
hands and eyes glow with an firelike aura as they
radiate an enormous amount of heat drying out and
warming Aryton to the very core of his being>
Lucky
one of my cleric friends was in the area to revive you
and most of the guild. Especially with that Frost
Giant train we had in Eastern Waste the other day.
Anyhow here sit by the cozy fire for a while and
get recuperated. <Hands
Ayrton a cup of hot cocoa as he holds his blazing palms
only an inch away from Ayrtons back to melt away
the last of the ice on him>
Give
it a day or two and you'll be back and kicking with us
all. Hehehe
and hold the pine on the coffin.
We'll need to make it larger for that Shardwurm
Queen I left dead in Great Divide.

Ayrton waits til his teeth stop
chattering....then sullenly says, "Shardtooth may have
been eating my mangy carcass, but it was the Broodmother
that killed me, her and those Guardians of
hers."
"Thanks for the resuscitation, Vert, I owe
you one, drinks around, if my coinpouch survived that
is." he says hopefully..
With that, he turns from
the fire, hands the cocoa cup to the nearest barmaid,
and strides to the bar, accepting the Elven Wine from
the bartender, he picks up the bottle and 2 glasses and
turns facing the common room, looking for someone to
share his recent acquisititon.
He sees most
everyone engaged in conversation, so he takes his usual
table and sets down the glasses, filling one and leaving
the other, downs his in a single gulp, and refills
it.
"Are you going to fill the other?" a soft
voice says from behind him, he turns and sees.....

<Val throws back the shots offered by
Bertalyius> Thanks sweetie, that's the good
stuff! Give Aoerick a hug for me, see ya all
soon! <Val rushes out to do a few things before
it's time to join everyone at Befallen>
A few days later.....
<Val comes
back in and shakes the snow off her
helm>
Thanks to everyone who helped vanquish
the evils of Befallen and to our friends Bert and
Aoerick who scouted ahead for us with Tajina. The
Destructors are operating more and more as an elite
fighting force every day and I look forward to our next
assembly as we move on to other sites infested with evil
and deserving of our personal attention.
<lifts her glass> Hail Tunare, may
all evil in the world be vanquised by the Destructors
and our allies! <drains the glass and slams it
upside down on the table, not leaving a single drop to
wet the fine polished wood>
Ok, now everyone
gather round <Val opens an oiled case and pulls out a
magnificent bow crafted of treant wood> and see
what I finally, after many weeks af trying,
<indicating the piles of broken bowstaves by the
fireplace> have constructed. My very own
Trueshot Longbow! <Val strings the bow and fits
a magic arrow of her own design and bearing the symbol
of her House into the dwarven wire string> Now watch
how the unbreakable Dwarven Wire works around the two
microservos for a strong smooth pull <raising the bow
Val fires a shot directly between the eyes of the Wurm
head freshly mouted on the wall, where the silver tipped
magic arrow sticks in a demonstration of marksmanship
and as a warning to all who enter that the Destructors
are not to be trifled with> Isn't that great!
Woo-Hoo!
<Unstringing her masterpiece
and placing it carefully back in it's case Val then
starts rooting around in her pack>
Bartender! I have some more trophies to
be mounted! Val pulls out a few Giant heads and a
manticore mane then pulls out a long sharp object.
Here, this is the tail of that annoying Shardtooth
creature, have it mounted on the wall between her
head, which is outside (I hired some Dwarvves to ship it
for me) and the one on the wall. She fell before
my blades like wheat before a scythe. <Val laughs
loudly and casually tosses the tail, sharper than many a
spear, at the bartender>
What's this
from Taj? Oh yes, my little necro buddy, sorry I
didn't see this sooner but it looks like Vert got the
bodies back for ya, good job hun! A toast to
Vertico and whatever cleric he found to help our fallen
comrades! <throws back another goblet of fine
wine and sits back in her chair.. to feel something in
her hair> Why, what's this? oh another
letter <smiles to herself and stands> I
think I'll take it upstairs and read it while I take a
bath. Barmaid! a warm tub of water to my room
please <Val stands, gathers her things and
heads upstairs to get cleaned
up>

:: Xentle castes Clarity on everyone,
caster and non alike, :: Drinks around to celebrate
another Circle of power acheived. :: Drinks
downed and a round or few for all, He admires Vals
display of skill and archery. :: Nice
shot, hun, and elegantly performed. Barkeep hot rum
for our recovering frozen friend. I told you that
was not the last time he would sit in the chair we put
his name on. Vert you didn't happen to get any Wurm
jelly while you were at it did you, I hear that stuff
has a remarkable effect. I have to say Bert and
Aoerick were good to have on our Raid whisperring their
assistance in my ear and getting everyones attention to
listen when we started gettign all scatterred out
at the begining. Before we were don though
we proved we have what it takes to come together and
form a great Raid.
:: Looks at the trophies
making their notice in the Tavern he considers where
they should Raid next. A guild member had
suggested Runnyeye because there are some drops there he
wants, let him come here and arrange that one. I
will help him Xen thinks to himself, if he wants, but he
has to come here and share a drink with us first.
Perhaps Guk, we can work through the begining and
if we do well, perhaps go into the depths and face the
challenges down there. It will be good to have our
high skilled members there to help guard over those who
are still young in the arts of Raiding. ::
