Casting a Circle for Healing

Cast the circle as you normally would then use the following to call the quarters.

O Guardians of the East, Lords of Air.

I do summon you to aid me in this rite of healing; protect the circle, and give me the knowledge to heal.

Air is breath.

O Guardians of the South, Lords of Fire.

I do summon you to aid me in this rite of healing; protect the circle, and give me the motivation to heal.

Fire is energy.

O Guardians of the West, Lords of Water.

I do summon you to aid me in this rite of healing; protect the circle, and give me the compassion to heal.

Water is blood.

O Guardians of the North, Lords of Earth.

I do summon you to aid me in this rite of healing; protect the circle, and give me the stability to heal.

Earth is body.

(Then face the alter and with wand held in right hand, raise both hands in invocation)

"Aesculapius son of Coronis; born in death and saved from the flames by Apollo.  

He who was taught the art of medicine by Chiron the centaur.

he who raised the dead with Athena's blood.

He who incurred the wrath of Hades, and was killed by Zeus's thunderbolt.

I invoke thee to this temple of healing. Aid me, thy priest (priestess) of the art, in my work."

(The arms are lowered and the tip of the wand is first placed on the throat and the healer says:)

• By the words of Chiron.

(The tip of the wand is then placed on the forehead * third eye)

• By the knowledge of Aesculapius.

(The tip of the wand is then placed at the bottom of the brow)

• By the inspiration and wisdom of Apollo.

(The circle is now prepared for the healing work to take place.)
