TALISMANS &
AMULETS
Objects that are man made and
endowed with personal power are considered to be Talismans. They can bring good
luck or have magickal powers depending on their use.
When considering to make one for
yourself, consider the following materials; paper, silver, iron, copper, lead.
As Raymond Buckland points out:
" The days of the week are
ruled by a planet... Each of these days is in turn, associated with a metal...
" Also "... properties are governed by the days of the week and can
therefore correlate those properties with the metals" The following table is
used from Raymond Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft.

| The
astrological rulership of stones is an important factor in determining
virtues. The zodiac has birthstones coordinating to the zodiac signs. Each
stone has a particular virtue or blessing that it is believed to bestow. |
