| KOBLE I don't have much information on this branch of my family tree. Koble is a Bavarian surname and I don't have anymore information than that. I am back as far as Henry Koble who was born August 1847 in Pennsylvania. Henry married Eliza Varner and I have locatated them in the census over a number of years. |

| It is interesting to note that the name is spelled Kobel in the 1880 and 1900 census. It is spelled Koble in the 1910 census and in 1920 where Eliza is living with a daughter and another Varner whose name I cannot make out. My great grandmother, Bertha--one of Henry and Eliza's daughters always spelled her name "Koble" so this is what I believe to be the correct spelling of the name for this family tree. |

| I found a Hans Kobel on this ships list from the Palatine region. I don't know if he is related or not, but I won't rule him out yet. I have also found a Henry Koble on a list of Civil War vets. I'll be visiting the grave around Memorial Day and will confirm the vetern's information then. |
