Think working class well brought up kids from the towns surrounding the very posh Tunbridge Wells. Well actually I (Jinner) was brought up in Orpington, the suburbs of pikeytown, but that was long ago and money has since clouded my impressionable mind.. and not to mention my South Londoner dad. The actual punk started a good four years ago just before i started learning guitar, then while i was learning I wrote some quite heavy lyrics, usually shite, but now reviewing em they seem somewhat political, maybe subconsciously written..). The band thing sarted with a bollocks project between me, Will, Dave 'the mave' of '7 Story Down' and Yvonne- went tits up as my wild hands werent too good at timing- that and Dave doesnt really dig the punk thing. Spring 2002 is when me and Will met Paul and Pete, then decided to collaborate- before then I knew of Paul and Pete only as 'the footie bloke' and 'Pete'- little did I know that we'd be playing music for so long together- strangers turned best mates through music..... beautiful. Our first ever song was called 'Stoned all on my own'. What a song. Our second song was called 'Don't pull me down' and that very song has survived a whole year, only the lyrics have been modified and was the first song we played (and pissed up!) at our battle of the band auditions. We dont play this one anymore cuz basically its really a hardcore song, maybe one day looking back we wil at a gig- for now- no. |

We wrote many songs, some ska, some hardcore, some punk rock, lots bollocks- not to mention proving to ourselves that we can't do covers when pissing up Will's gcse performance with a quirky Rancid number. As for gigs, we played a first in spring 2002.. that was after about 3-4 weeks of playing together so we did the obvious at pissing that one up (yeah- we like doin that!) but we did do some embarassing covers to initiate ourselves into group playing. The photo of that night is below- the old band.... memories.... |

I'd say that we've come miles from the days of above, we certainly have wayyyy more technical problems and stuff like that but the songs are tight, original and most importantly- sound fresh with unconventional chord sequences and pumping breaks- you can feel the shouts of "GO!" or "OI!" push you into a madness of punk. Anyways- I hope to see you very soon, have a blast with yerself. thats HOW for NOW jinner xx |
