[a modest device] - nick power
A Modest Device, the first in our monograph series, represents the long-awaited reappearance of Nick Power to the small press world in Toronto. In this series of intimate glimpses into the artistic process, rooms open onto rooms, doorways onto doorways. The journey takes us through the dream landscapes of childhood, cities, real, imagined and remembered, to forests, mountains and mysterious ponds. In the final room, "where only imagination lies" a companion urges us - as Nick does - to "bend over the work with love." |
