| Glamour Using Glamour Glamour is the energy of Dreams. The shear potential of the daydreaming thought harnessed into the power of the Dreaming. Unfortunately it is whimsical and fickle. Glamour is the fairy souls essence. It fuels cantrips, and sometimes allows Changelings to perform their birthrights. It creates their personal chimerical clothing. Those who have Keening can perceive Glamour as multi colored lights. Therefore any cantrip or chimerical creature might be spied with a test using the Keening ability. (Unless actively hidden by magical means, of course!) Glamour can be used to add an additional Bunk. Bunks are random things you do when casting magic. Spinning around three times, or singing a silly made up song is a type of Bunk. Glamour demands these silly actions. Bunks add Traits to cantrip casting. The harder the Bunk, the more Traits it adds to the cantrip. Only one additional Bunk per cantrip may be added. Both Bunks must be performed to gain the additional Traits. Glamour may be imbued into a token, which will allow a mortal, or Prodigal (Werewolf, Vampire, Mage) to see Glamour chimera, and the fairies changeling selves at a rate of one Trait per day of enchantment. (Remember the mists will close in after the enchantment wears off, taking away most memories of the experience.) The token must be accepted willingly or placed secretly on the target. Tokens can be a rock, cookies, or a mark on their head, but should have item cards to indicate the expenditure and collection of Glamour. Gaining Glamour Dross are items imbued with glamour but have no other magical ability. Shiny rocks, seashells, unreleased diaries of Andy Worhal, all could contain Dross. If you use the Dross in an object it is all or nothing. You cannot say some for later. Destroying a Treasure MAY allow you to receive some Temporary Glamour. A night spent dreaming in a freehold/mew/glen with the permission of the recognized owner gains you one point of Temporary Glamour. The Dreamers Background allows you to regain Temporary willpower. Experiencing the Epiphanies of: Reverie Rapture Ravaging Rhapsody All allow the Changeling to gain Glamour. Oaths may allow you to receive Temporary, and perhaps even permanent Glamour. Be warned oaths should NEVER be taken lightly. |
