The Changeling Seeming

Each Changeling has two Seemings: their Mortal form, and their Fae self. The former reflects how the mundane world views them, and often takes the appearance of what they looked like at the point they discovered their Faerie existence. Normally, the Fae self is visible only on a Chimerical level (ie. in the visable near Dreaming), while the Mortal Seeming is what most people see on the physical level. However, Fae may allow their Mortal Seeming to slip, revealing their inner self; note that many bonuses to Attributes granted because of their
Kith only apply when the Changeling is in their Fae Seeming.

Seemings are broken up into three categories, based upon Age:

Childing or Youngling: These are young Changelings, who have not lost much of their innocence. That is not to say that are naive, simply that they are somewhat more in touch with their Dreaming side than their mortal expression. Childings have Mortal Seemings under the age of 13, and as such, all are considered to have the flaw Child.

Wilders: The most common of the Kithain, these show their Mortal seeming as that of a teenager or young adult. Wilders make up the bulk of the Changeling community.

Grumps or Elders: Very few Kithain are able to stave off Banality to become Grumps; perhaps one in twenty reach this state. Grumps tend to hold the positions of greatest responsibility, both as teachers and keepers of the Escheat.
