Costs:






New Attribute Trait = 1xp per trait

New Ability = 1xp per trait up to 5. Two experience for Ability Trait
through 6-10. 

New Background = Earn it in character, through role play, and pay 1 xp
per level to keep it.

New Discipline = 3 xp for Basic, 6 xp for Intermediate, and 9 xp for
Advanced in your clan. (Remember to add one xp trait to the cost of the
Discipline if it is considered out of clan.)

New Humanity/Path Trait = 2xp per level and you have to role-play the changes in the character with the increase of the path.

New Merit = Double the listed cost of the Merit, with storyteller approval. (It takes time, and role-playing for this to happen and sometimes it simply is not feasible to expect to acquire  certain things like true faith, or Iron will.) 

New Necromancy and Thaumaturgy Ritual = 2 xp per trait for Basic, 4 xp traits for Intermediate, 6 xp traits for an Advanced ritual.

New Specialization = 1 xp per trait in an ability already known.

New Willpower = 3 xp per trait to your max

Buy off a Negative Trait= 2 xp per Trait

Buy off a Flaw = Double the cost of the flaw with storyteller approval. (That means role-playing.) Some flaws cannot be bought off.
