Sabbat Lore
Sabbat Lore 1:
What a newb would know.
*  There exists a secret society of vampires, which keeps itself hidden from the mortal world called the Sabbat.
*  The nucleus of the Sabbat's organization in the "pack", a loose confederation of vampires nominally united toward a single goal.
*  Sabbat fight the Antediluvians (basic boogie man descriptions, no names or anything)
*  The Camarilla is the enemy, they are the lapdogs of the antediluvians
*  That you are never to expose your new vampiric nature to any non-vampire unless you are ordered to do so. If you fuck up, take care of it.
*  Sabbat Vampires refer to themselves as "Children of Caine", the use of the term Cainite "vampire" is offensive to some elder Cainites. Fuck them. A lick is a lick.
*  You have heard of the principles of loyalty and freedom. Vampires, as superior beings, are free to do as they please, but they must also remain true to the Sabbat, lest their freedom be jeopardized by the machination of the elders.
*  You understand the very basics of the Sabbat Social Structure, and know of the proper place and behavior of a normal pack member. (Obey your Dictus and your Priest!) You know that you may be destroyed by a superior for your actions, of if you generally fuck up, but your equals have to declair Monomancy or Duel to fight you. (That is if someone is looking, or they could just shive you later.)
*  You know of the Pack Positions Dictus, Priest, and Abbot and the coinciding status.
*  You have heard of Bishops and of someone called the Regent.
*  Knows of the existence of Paths of Morality




Sabbat Lore 2:
What an established lick would know.
*  You know the powers and responsibilities of the Pack Dicti and the Archbishop and Bishops, and who holds them within your domain.
*  You know the basics of the main Rituals. Valdurie, Blood Bath, etc
*  You have heard rumors of other groups of Kindred than the Camarilla, but know no specifics of their sects. (I.e. Independents, Aututark, and Bloodlines), you may have even met some kindred, which claimt to belong to the Independent Clans.
*  You have heard the names of nearby Sabbat Archbishops, other kindred of high standing (5+ in status)
*  You are aware of the Archbishop/Bishops Templars/Paladins
*  You can name the Regent, know of the existence of the Prisci, and are aware of the Cardinals
*  You tend to use the Common Parlance when speaking of things (pg. 59 V:TM)
*  You know how to create a childe and change packs.
*  Has heard of the Code of Milan and can list a few of its statues.
*  Can name a Path of Morality or two (The one you are on and maybe those that your pack members follow.)

Sabbat Lore 3:
What and experienced Pack Priest/Priestess would know.
*  You know the basic history of the Sabbat
*  You know of the Primary Clans Tzimice and Lasombra, and their powers and weaknesses.
*  Can name/recognize the nearest Cardinal
*  You know well the stereotypical horrors and tales of the Camarilla. (No specific powers or clans, but general tales of horror like ghoul fighting, and the killing of fledgings and sire. )
*  Can Name and if needed perform all the Auctoritas Ritae. (The Blood Bath, The Blood Feast, The Creation Rites, The Vaulderie, Games of Instinct, Monomacy, Sermons of Caine, and The Wild Hunt
*  The Ignoblis Ritae, vary in manner and observation among the packs.
*  Knows the Code of Milan. Most likely has it memorized.
*  Is fully aware that the Code of Milan will be followed at all times, by all members of the Sect.
*  Know it is your duty to uphold the Code of Milan
*  You may have attended a Blood Bath.
*  You know of the Edict of Barbs/Convention of Thorns.
*  Likely has participated in the festivals (the Festivo dello Estinto, Palla Grande, or Danse Macabre)
*  You know the intricate details of the Wild Hunt
*  You know of the Camarilla Treaties with the Assamites and Giovanni, and that the Sabbat tolerate the independents so long as they don* t get directly in the way or try to claim Sabbat territory.
*  You know the unwritten traditions and customs of the Sabbat (The Protocols of the Sabbat)
*  Can name and describe all the major Sabbat Paths of Morality.
*  Can name the common Sabbat disciplines (Obteneration, Vicissitiude)

Sabbat Lore 4:
What a Scholar or Bishop would know.
*  You tend to use the Old Form when speaking (pg. 60 V:TM)
*  You know how to contact and approach a Cardinal*  properly.
*  You can identify most cities of the chronicle as Sabbat, Camarilla, Independant or Anarch held
*  You know that the Assimiteswere asked to join the Sabbat at its founding, and that they declined.
*  You know the names all of  the Cardinals of your continent.
*  Knows the names of the open Prici and is aware of secret Prici
*  You are aware of the responsibilities that Cardinals, Archbishops, and Bishops have.
*  Can name a few of the obscure Paths of Morality.
*  Has heard of the Tribunal
*  Can name the Sabbat Bloodlines (Ahrimanes, Blood Brothers, Kiasyd)

Sabbat Lore 5:
What an Elder or Archbishop would know.

*  You know of the existence of the Black Hand, and other "divisions" of Templars.
*  You are or were known as a major voice of the Sabbat
*  You know how the Cardinal are selected, and of the politics involved at such a level.
*  You know how to contact a Prici, and probably survive
*  You know the names, and clans of the Founders, as well as the details of the very founding of the Sabbat.
*  Has attended a Tribunal and is familiar with the execution of Sabbat justice.
*  Can name the rare Sabbat disciplines (Mytherceria, Sanguinus, Spiritus)
