Because the Changeling books have no trait maximums and this is a long term Chronicle The Wyld Dream LARP will have the following trait maximums for character advancement. Abilities 5* Backgrounds 6 with Role-play/Downtime and ST approval Glamour 10 Banality 10 Willpower 10 *Exception one Ability per character can be raised to 6 for 2 points to show exceptional ability, and should be appropriate to the character. For example, a Knocker tinkerer might have a 6 in crafts, a Scathach Sidhee or a Troll sword fighter might have a 6 in melee, a Redcap bully may have a 6 in Brawl, a Slougha mystic may have a 6 in occult ect. A Commoners and non-titled Sihee Attribute trait maximum are distributed by Seeming as follows. Childling 10 Wilder 11 Grump 12 Nobles have higher Attribute trait maximums due to their station and their inherent connection to the Dreaming. Common born gain these trait maximums upon acceptance of their oaths. [Should someone be stripped of their office, by one of higher station, (like a king or high king) their trait maximum will be lowered to that of their seeming, and any excess traits will be lost, until a return of station is granted. For instance Count O'Banion was demoted by the dark High Queen Morgath who stripped him of his title, he was weakened and lost many Attribute traits. Later he was recognized by Duke Dadin as a Barron so he has his seeming pulse the additional three traits to total 14 as his trait maximum, but he did not need to buy the traits back as they returned with the title. Should ha attain Count again, he will regain all of his lost traits. Squire Seeming Max +1 Knight Seeming Max +2 Barron/Lord Seeming Max +3 Count Seeming Max +4 Duke Seeming Max +5 King Seeming Max +6 High King Seeming Max +7 Emperor Seeming Max +8 A little note. Just because you have three mental traits that say you are knowledgeable, wise, and patient, does not mean you can not be witty, it simply means that you may not bid witty. Being demoted as a Noble does not make you uglier, or dumber, it just makes you unable to bid as much. Nor does becoming a grump make you more attractive, lithe, and observant. However for role-playing purposes it would help that if you attempted to incorporate the traits you have into your character, but people do not always show all of themselves, all of the time. If you have intimidating you need not attempt to intimidate everyone, just know that your character has intimidation potential. In other words, follow your legacies, and your court, and then consider your Attribute traits at moments of conflict. Also keep in mind people often hide their weaknesses, or at least try to, but some negative traits will come out in game play. |
