Sean not only has a passion for acting, but for music as well. He used to play guitar for a band called Crambo. He sang the chorus for a song of theirs called, "Norman Blake" and a large portion of "Boobies" (foolin' around). He will not be rejoining Crambo, but perhaps singing some backup vocals for them.
Sean has been acting for quite a while. He began at age five. When he was 7 he joined a local drama group. At age 10, he auditioned for Macbeth and soon after joined the "Royal Shakespeare Company". At age 11, Sean joined "The Scottish Youth Theater". In 1996, he played "Darren" in a short-lived mini-series called, "The Crow Road". Then in 1997, he landed the part of "Tom" in "The Winter Guest" in which he acted alongside Emma Thompson. Alan Rickman, who played Severus Snape in HP, directed "The Winter Guest" and was so impressed with Sean's work, that he set Sean up with ICM, a London agency. Soon after he climbed aboard at ICM, Sean auditioned for the part of Percy Weasley, but instead landed the part of Oliver Wood in HP. Sean is very modest about his new star status, but does want all the ladies out there to know that he is "devilishly good-looking and single" (not that he had to tell us).
Sean admits that he doesn't have a girlfriend, but also notes that he wouldn't want to date anyone who's only interested because he's a star. He also said in response to his new sex symbol status, "Let's face it, it you are in a big movie and don't exactly look like Quasimodo, you are always going to get that kind of reaction."
Some new facts have just come to my attention. First, Sean loves to cycle. I'm assuming that's the same thing as normal bicycling in the States (which I love by the way, I went on a 300-mile trip with a bunch of teens last summer through SHP). His favorite food is Spaghetti Carbonara and he also enjoys Asian food. His aunt recently bought him an acre of the moon for a present. In addition, Sean's favorite alcoholic beverage cider. Sean also does not own a computer, but recently purchased 3 guitars. The lock on his bathroom door doesn't work properly (hmm), and he was a member of an anti-drug education program in 1998. There are some more facts about his family, but that's personal and I don't really think that it's relevant or important. People need SOME privacy.
Sean has only visited the Eastern coast of the US. He visits New York City now and then, and every summer visits family and friends in Toronto. Since Sean lives quite some distance from the Harry Potter set, he is put up in a hotel nearby, which he claims is, "boring as hell" (I'll come keep you company...).
