Why should I vote?
Voting is our American Duty. We live in a free society and by our vote we choose the leaders who will shape the future of the world we live in.
What issues matter most?
Obviously, this is an individual concern. We each have different reasons to vote -- Reasons that inspire us to support a particular candidate.
My belief:
I believe strongly in Moral Reasons to vote. To me, abortion is wrong, and that is why I am a strong supporter of President Bush. I am grateful that he signed the law against Partial Birth Abortion and also, supported and signed, the Laci Peterson Law. I know he will continue to fight for the un-born. (see page on Abortion)
Also, I believe Marriage is the union only between a Man and a Woman. I know President Bush supports this. John Kerry, says he does, but his past actions have not proven this to be true. (see page on Marriage)
The security of our Homeland is also a very important issue. After our country was attacked on September 11th, I think we all saw the great leadership qualities in our President. He helped keep America strong and vibrant in the face of great adversity. (see page on President at Ground Zero)
Which candidate acts accordingly to what he says?
This one is simple. Listen to what each candidate says, then look at the man's record.
My belief:
I'll keep this one short and sweet. I think we have all heard the comparison here. Our President is a straight talker. He says what he means and he does what he says.
On the other hand, there is John Kerry, who has a reputation for flip-flopping on the issues. (see page on Flip-Flops)
Who will lead according to my values?
Your values are up to you, as well as your vote. Look at the issues and decide.
My belief:
When you push that voting button think of what you are voting for. I believe we are all accountable as to how we vote -- Accountable to the future of this great country and also to our Heavenly Father.
