Lou Gossett, now known as Louis Gossett, Jr played Isak Poole.  He was born in New York on May 27, 1936.

Professionally the most successful of the entire cast, Louis Gossett has many movie appearances and guest starring roles to his credit.

Alex Henteloff played the bespeckled Henry Abington.

In spite of the fact that he has remained active in the busines as recently as 1999, with many movies and TV shows to his credit, it is extremely difficult to obtain information about him.  Sources say that his birthday is May 23, 1942

French Viscount Philippe Forquet de Dorne was selected to portray General the Marquis de Lafayette..  He was born in Paris, France on September 27.  His birth year is difficult to pinpoint.  Some sources say 1940, others say 1943 or 1944.

Hilarie Thompson played Elizabeth Coates.  She was born in Birmingham, Michigan on March 2, 1949.
