Here's my new addition to the Zup Page hierarchy, the RPG page. For the uninitiated, RPG, stands for RolePlaying Game. RPGs are different from other games in that they are mainly played out in the imagination. Basically, you have one person who is the Gamemaster or Dungeonmaster, and acts as referee and runs the game. Everyone else takes the role of characters that they describe and act out. There are many genres of RPGs from SciFi to Comedy, but I mostly like the Fantasy (Sword and Sorcery) genre of games.
A few years ago I started indexing the issues of DRAGON Magazine that I owned. About a year ago I decided to place my index online so other people could take advantage of my work. This document indexes issues 150-152, 160, 162, 167-170, 172-241. The articles are divided into categories by subject. An article may be listed in more than one category if it applies. I did not include any article listings except for those relating to AD&D or fantasy role-playing in general, sorry. If I eventually index by issue too, I'm going to try to add thumbnails of the covers if I can get the picture quality I want without taking too much memory. If you spot any major (or even minor) errors or omissions, or if you have any suggestions please E-Mail me at ajz@po.cwru.edu.4/12/98
I attended the 1998 Origins Game Fair over 4th of July weekend. This was my second year at Origins, and I managed to participate in some games and do a little more than last year. One of the highlights for me was getting to meet Mira Furlan, who plays Ambassador Delenn on Babylon 5 I met a lot of cool people from gaming companies, and I've added some links to those that I put up last year.
