My name is Thiago Silva and I am a student from Brazil at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, majoring in Spanish and Computer Informatino Systems. I will be graduatingthis coming may and want to start with a graduate program in Telecommunications next fall.a
My first visit to the States was in the summer of 1992, when I went Disney Worls, Florida, for 15 days. Then I went back to my country and when I finished high school decided to come to the United States and try to Learn English. I told my parents I wanted to try getting into Medical School, but after my second semester at UNK I changed my mind and started taking some Computer Science and Spanish classes..
I have been in Kearney since August of 1997, and it has been the most valueable experience of my life.
UNK offers great programs and gives us the opportunity to get involved in many activities, and being involved into all the things that I have, and doing all the things I have done in the last couple of years helpled me growing up and becoming the person I am today. |
