suede v. london suede
when i first became a suede fan i was a bit confused, was i a suede fan, or a london suede fan?  i asked a few kids, but no one really seemed to know.  well, after years and years of difficult research (umm, thats not really accurate) i know, and now, so will you!
so.  a band formed in the united kingdom.  they called themselves 'suede.'  they released an lp in america under the name of 'suede.'  all of a sudden this super obscure (and probably poopy) country/folk singer from washington dc appeared.  her name was suzanne debronkart.  she said, 'hey you silly english boys!  you cant be "suede!" i own the rights to that name here in the good old u.s. of a!' (note: that is not a real quote.)  suzanne threatened to sue those cute little english boys (for im sure more money than was necessary) if they didnt change thier name in the states.  because they did not want to lose all their money before they made any, they conceded.  beginning with their 'stay together' ep, suede was known as 'the london suede' west of the atlantic.

i know.  it's sad.  but do try not to cry yourself asleep over it.
'so what does it all mean to me??'
well, if you live in the us, it means you may have to check under both 'suede' and 'london suede' in record shops to find thier albums.
'im totally lost!
take me back to
the beginning!!
'damn suzanne!
damn her to heck!!'
