In the last few years I've seen the price of a set of drums go up about 200 dollars. I think the best way to buy is through one of the catalog companies that are out there. Go to the stores find exactly what you want and go order it from a catalog.
For a used 5pc drumset with all the hardwear and cymbals. I would not pay more than 5 or 600 dollars. Of course it all depends on what kind of set it is but generally no more than 600 dollars.
For a brand new kit with hardwear and cymbals expect to pay anywhere from 600 to 1000 dollars. The cymbals and hardwear are always extra. Very seldom do the music stores throw in any free bees. Sometimes you'll get a cymbal stand, hi-hat stand or a throne included in the package. |
