| 1998 "Mad" Mike Borton and John "Nobody" Gabriel worked at the same company, while John met Bill "Shark" Shaw through an internet email list devoted to Neil Young, called The Rust List. John and Bill began jamming together in January 1998, and by March were ready to add drums to the mix. Mike was invited to jam with them on mostly Neil stuff, and various other "classic rock" tunes. Third Bowl has had a few different bass players since then. They just can't seem to find the right person. 1998 through 2002 Mad and Shark still lookin for the elusive bass player. Where could he be? Plugging along, playing what gigs they could, Third Bowl has gotten some good chops together and have recently released a self produced 4 song demo CD titled "SPARK".
