Let's add frivolous amendments to the Constitution!
One thing that really gets me is the whole gay marriage debate.

It just seems outrageous to me that the ONLY thing standing between gay marriage and law is the stupid Christman belief that homosexuality is a sin.  I REFUSE to obey any law that uses religion as its basis, simply because I do not belief that it's true.

So gay marriage is demenaning normal marriage?  So what about those marriageds that last about 2 weeks?  What about Britney Spears?  What about the T.V. shows that marry people off?  I think that's more demeaning to marriage than two people who love each other getting married.

But what REALLY gets me going is the insistence that we add an AMENDMENT to our CONSTITUTION that DEFINES MARRIAGE!  WTF?  Why is that even necessary?  Why is it necessary to legislate a clearly discriminatory and just plain ignorant law?  Why must Christians step in where it's none of their business and destroy other people's happiness?

Really, what I think it comes down to is a "live and let live" sort of a situation.  Unless you're gay and getting married, it shouldn't matter to you.  It's not your job to stand up and defend "the sanctity of marriage."  God isn't going to give you a gold medal for being a dick.
