Heartsong: Letters of Love

Kathryn,

As long as I live, I could never stay angry with you. I’m sorry about what happened last night, and I know you are too. Things were said that we both regret, but they can never be taken back. In the heat of anger, people can lose control over their thoughts and actions. This isn’t meant as justification for what happened between us, but more as an explanation as to why I feel so bad now.

Last night I wondered why you didn’t call me back, was it was because you were angry, hurt? Whatever the reason, it broke my heart to know that I had put you through it all, and even more so to know that you were alone, and not being able to do anything about it.

I believe it it’s natural for people to disagree, even argue, but it must never be allowed that which brings people together in the beginning: love.

Last night we allowed our frustrations to get the better of us, but I’m promising you, right now, that I will never let that happen again.

I love you Kathryn, please don’t ever forget that.
