Speednik. No more and no less. Well, okay - probably less
now I come to think of it.

| What's your role in the band? | I am
currently one of only two people whose middle name isn't
Anthony. I also have the darkest natural hair colour.
That's it. Oh, and I play a guitar that belongs to BigCat
sometimes. In this band I was initially called in to replace Lou aka Flamingkitties, who previously held the position of having the darkest hair, not having the middle name Anthony and playing guitar. I luv ya Lou!!

guitarist", cos I'm a ponce machine in overdrive.
Okay, I've contributed to the writing of many of the
songs and keep spouting ridiculous phrases that inspire
Fuzz to start coming up with new tunes. As the whole band
settles down expect full tunes and entire lyrics from me.
I'd resurrect songs I wrote in the last ten years, but I
don't think the world is ready yet for my werewolf tunes,
a proclamation of the greatness of confusion, or
something simply called "Shit! I've Lost My Sense Of
Humour".

| Cliche alert: Who/what are your influences? | One
time I, and a good friend, advertised for band members on
Channel Four Teletext's "The Void", in which we
included absolutely NO musical influences and instead put
things like Clive Barker and James O'Barr (except he also
IS a musician, I knew this not at the time). After that a
ton of bastards copied us, so it was nice to start
something. Anyway - influences. MUSICAL INFLUENCES (with total honesty, uh-oh): Nine Inch Nails Nobuo Uematsu Carl Orff Extreme Mike Oldfield John Lee Hooker Gustav Holst Queen Chuck Berry Alan Silvestri This may sound like a strange set, and I have to mention Extreme and Queen because it was after getting into them in my early teens that I started playing guitar, which is why I considered it important to mention them. Okay, I already played at least two other instruments at that point (PONCE) but we'll forget about that. The other people have all legitimately influenced music that I've written, I haven't just mentioned them to be "different". There are so many more but, a) they'd go on too long, b) you'd laugh at me...

| What exactly are you trying to do with this here band? | At the risk of not sounding
pretentious enough, I just want to have a good time and
make some nice fun music with some great friends. Sorry.

| Would you rather be a huge charts-shagging monster band or would you be content as a small cult band, bearing in mind that either way the NME will hate you? | Charts-Shagging?
Cool. To appeal to as broad an audience as possible, you've
got to have a total lack of any "edge" in any
given direction so as not to "turn off" any
members of the record-buying public. I personally would
hate that, and as part of Buckfast I feel we would always
be able to say "Right: Censorial Phantoms is hip hop,
Actress is metal, List is electronica. So what?"
Does that make any sense or just look like a shitty
attempt at genre-defiance?
