Fleet Champions
A glimpse into some of the history of Thistle sailing in Newport Beach, CA, the following list was compiled mainly from the retired Fleet 68 Perpetual Trophy. In some cases, issues of the Thistle Class Association's national publication, Bagpipe, and telephone calls to past winners, helped fill in the blanks. A new Fleet 68 Perpetual Trophy will be dedicated in 2000, and these names will be transferred to the new trophy.
