HERA
The Queen of the Olympian gods.  Wife of Zeus.  Goddess of marriage and feminine cycles. 
She was a proud and jealous woman, being continually enraged by the affairs of Zeus.  Her symbols include the peacock, the cow and the pomegranate.

HERMES
God of commerce.  The messenger of the gods.  He was a symbol of communication, health, fertility and insight.  Depicted as a young man wearing winged sandals and carrying a messenger's staff.

HESTIA
Goddess of the hearth and home.  One of the virgin goddesses.  Associated with fire, family and domestic life.

HORAE
The goddesses of the seasons.  They were named Thallo, Auxo and Carpo meaning budding, growth and ripening respectively. 

HYGIEIA
Goddess of health and hygiene.  Daughter of Asclepius.

HYMEN
God of marriage.  Symbolises love and virginity.

HYPNOS
God of sleep.  He resides in the underworld.

IRIS
Goddess of rainbows.

METIS
Goddess of wisdom.

MOROS
God of doom - in the sense of destiny.

MORPHEUS
God of dreams.

MUSES
The nine goddesses who presided over the arts and sciences.

NIKE
Goddess of victory.  Depicted as a woman with wings in a billowing robe.  She was often associated with Athena.

NYX
Goddess of the night.

PAN
God of shepherds and flocks.  Also represents fertility and carnal desire.  He was the son of Hermes and was portrayed as a satyr playing a pipe.

PANACEA
"All-Healer".  A minor goddess who represented healing through herbs.

PERSEPHONE
Goddess of the underworld and daughter of Demeter.  She was abducted by Hades who made her his wife.

PHOBOS
God of fear and terror.  Son of Ares.

PLUTUS
God of wealth.

POSEIDON
God of the sea, horses and earthquakes.  Patron of sailors.  He was depicted as a bearded man carrying a trident.  His symbols included dolphins, fish and the trident. 

PSYCHE
Goddess of the human soul.
