A festival of fertility and purification, Imbolc serves to welcome the Spring. Symbolically, marks the recovery of the Goddess after giving birth to the God. The crone of winter becomes the maiden of spring. It is a time of growth and renewal. | ||||||||||||||||||||
Celebrations usually include fires to represent light, warmth and inspiration. | ||||||||||||||||||||
