As the first true day of spring, Ostara is a festival of fertility.  Nature moves from the sleep of winter to the liveliness of spring.  The God grows in strength as the length of the day grows.
Sabbat Deities:  Eostre, Ostara, the Green Goddess and the Lord of the Greenwood.
Colours:  light green, lemon yellow and pale pink.
Herbs: acorns, crocus, daffodils, honeysuckle, iris, jasmine, rose, strawberry and violets.
Traditions:  planting of seeds, collecting flowers and working with herbs.
Altar Decorations: spring flowers, painted eggs, catkins and seed cakes.
Magick:  fertility magick, magick to begin new enterprises and worldly activites.
