Shot and Captured, Escaped, Enlisted, again in June 1778, under Burrows of New
Jersey, Colonel David Truman. Shot Captured then
carried to New York, held prisoner 8 months. Then He Escaped Enlisted again at
Chaptauk, Maryland, in April 1781, and served 9 months under Captain John Cain, Colonel
Henry Downs of Maryland Proof Pension claim S. 32354; Steven's History

Elizabeth; Rebecca; and Catherine. Service Served with Rangers of the
Frontiers, 1778-1783 Lieutenant in Captain John Van Meter's Company, of Militia,
4th Westmoreland Battalion, W. C. Benjamin Davis's Company. Called out for
running the line between Pennsylvania and Virginia He served from June 6 to
