Last night I lay by myself Wishing you were here As I was thinking of you Down my cheek rolled a tear I thought of how I feel for you And how I need you so And how at night I miss you How I wish you would never go When we are together Time runs by so fast I wish I had the power To make our time together last I don't know what you did to me Every night I think of you Every time I awake and Every time I hear a slow tune Your smile can warm a winter day Your inner-self fights the skies And every star I see at night I find within your eyes I can't promise to give you Days without pain Happiness without sorrow Or sun without rain But I can promise to give you Strength for the day Comfort for your tears And light for the way Last night I lay by myself A tear rolled down my cheek Then came a smile Cause in my mind you will always be Last night I lay on my bed Wondering how heaven would be Then I gave a smile Im in heaven when your with me
