Scott started his professional career with Shrewsbury, but then moved back to Brechin where he stayed for little more than a season before his hometown club- Aberdeen bought him. His chances at Aberdeen were few and far between although he did help Aberdeen beat the Pars in the 1994/95 play-off. He jumped at the chance when Raith Rovers offered him first team football. Scott was mainly used as a forward in his Raith days but didnt get to many goals, instead he set afew up. When Raith ran into financial difficulty, Dunfermline realised they could have this class player for nothing. This must be one of the pars best singings considering how consistant he has played over the past few seasons. Nipper was brought to Dunfermline by Bert Paton in the close season of '98, but is only showing his full potential under Jimmy Calderwood. Nobody can decide which is Nippers best position but he says he prefers to play behind the front 2. Jimmy C likes to see Nipper used at the back, whilst Jimmy Nic likes him in midfield. . |
