| Eastham (pop. 4,400) is the gateway to the Cape Cod National Seashore. Eastham has several excellent Bay and ocean beaches along with trails at the Cape Cod National Seashore. An interesting fact of Eastham's history is that it was essentially one giant asparagus patch until the 1920's.
