The next morning we arose to a cold foggy morning. After getting dressed we checked out the free breakfast and decided to go down the hill to the Bob Evans for a more substantial breakfast. This was Monday morning, about 9 am, and the restaurant wasn't very busy. |

We both had scrambled egg plates, with Jill enjoying sausages, while the Giantman feasted on bacon, toast and a fruit cup. After breakfast we fueled up the Taurus at the gas station next to the restaurant and it was time to get back on the road. |

Our destination today was Niagara Falls, New York. From Mansfield, which is halfway between Columbus and Cleveland, we got back on I-71 north towards Cleveland. As we were passing the Cleveland area we began to drive along Lake Erie until we crossed into Pennsylvania and drove past Erie. We were only in Pennsylvania for a short time until we crossed into New York. Heading northward along Lake Erie, we started seeing signs for Buffalo and Niagara Falls. During this drive we only stopped a couple of times, once at a Burger King to use the restroom, and once more to fuel up the car. We crossed over Grand Island and started to get a view of Niagara Falls in the distance. We had made plans to stay in an eleven story historical hotel that is now operated by Travelodge. It was built in 1924 and was known as The Niagara. It is situated about two blocks from the state park, and was within walking distance of the Falls. |
